Best garlic cheese bread, bomb sauce!
by mollybyrum
The Pizza Trio went to Li'l Ricci's tonight and it was fabulous! We ordered garlic cheese bread, the large antipasta salad, a pie w/ 1/2 sausage and onions, 1/2 pepperoni and jalapenos then some cannolis. The garlic cheese bread was hands down the best we've had so far! It actaully tasted like garlic, had enough cheese to cover it and the marinara to dip it in was super yummy! I was actually glad I got to try the sauce before the pie came. The large salad said it was for two people but fed the Trio and there was still leftovers. It came piled high with cucumbers, carrots, salami, ham and cheese (we opted out of the olives and tomatoes). The blue cheese dressing was a bit thick but was "bomb" as a Trio member stated. The other member said to recommend it to you folks. I had the italian dressing which reminded me of the kraft stuff which isn't my favorite but the salad was good. The pie came out looking great except that the sausages are the thin slices not the actual chunks. The pepperoni/jalapeno side was favored but the Trio but overall the whole pie was good. There were a lot of toppings, plenty of cheese and the crust was crunchy and delicious! I had to eat about 2/3 of the pizza with a fork and knife because it was piled high with toppings! The canolis were rated "very good"... "4.5 out of 5" by the two other members of the Trio and although I am not a canoli connoisseur but it was the best I have had. There was nothing jazzy to spice it up and it certainly didn't need it. It came out with some powdered sugar around the plate and it tasted like the filling had some vanilla added. It was stuffed to the brim with cheese and the Trio boys think it may have been homemade. Overall, this place rocks! The service was great (we had two girls waiting on us) and the atmosphere is very family like. Highly recommended!
- Pros: garlic bread, plenty of booths and great marinara!
- Cons: sausage slices
The best pizza in Colorado
by chocolatecake
We?ve just moved in this neighborhood. This place makes some great pizza! My husband loves their meatball hero too; he would like little more sauce on it though. My neighbors said to try the calzone; I guess it's very good and huge!!
- Pros: Good food, Quick
Tasteless pizza, sloppy service, poor value
by bobrollins
The pizza tastes like it came out of a high school cafeteria: kraft style cheese, skimpy toppings, and slightly soggy crust. The service is delivered by college-aged people more interested in chatting with each other than serving customers in a timely matter. Pizza to eat in is much better quality with much better service at Beau Jo's, and for delivery from any national chain. This is a place to avoid. There is no New York, let alone New York style, at L'il Ricci's.
- Pros: conveniently located for south denver customers
- Cons: food quality, service, value
