In Short
Dark and comfortable, this is a cozy spot where anyone from intimate couples to large groups can escape the city's bustle. The varied menu includes appetizers such as fried calamari with cocktail sauce and a distinctive red curry-and-coconut sauce. Mussels, several clam varieties, oysters and cockles come steamed. Fish, lobster and crab are all flown in daily from the coast. Big eaters won't be disappointed with surf-and-turf combinations.

I had dinner last night at the Fresh Fish Company for my birthday, as I do almost every year. I ordered the coconut shrimp. When they came out, they were this purple grey color. It looked awful. The breading and the shrimp were this color. I asked the waitress and she agreed that they did not look right. She put in a new order. The second time, a manager brought them to me. He put the plate down and asked in an extremely rude way "Do these look better to you"? Well no, actually they didnt. They were still grey/purple, and now i was angry that the manager was acting as if I was being too picky. Sorry I don't prefer grey shrimp! By this time everyone else has finished eating, I am now eating the sides dishes, by myslef. When the waitress came back over I asked her if she could just send someone over who knew why the shrimp were purple. The same rude manager came over and went into this explanation that there is some sort of "deoxidation" process that happens and they don't know it has until after the shrimp are cooked???????? So they bought us dessert, and I got my birthday discount, but I will never return to this restaurant. I mean GREY SHRIMP? Seriously?

Wanted to take my Grandparents out because both of their birthdays were last week. They suggested the Red Lobster, I wanted something different. Had never been to the Fresh Fish Company but had heard a lot of good things about it. I called and made reservations the night before for brunch. We got there and they asked if we knew about their birthday club. I said no. They handed us forms to fill out for my Grandparents. Discount being 1% for every birthday year. My Grandfather had turned 91 and my Grandmother 85. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they honored the discount - there were four of us and we basically ate at half price. We didn't wait a single minute to get seated. The food was great for Denver (not what you'd find on the East or West coast but terrific considering other options in Denver), prices were reasonable I felt for the quantity of food, the selection was great, and the wait staff was very courteous and friendly. On our way out, my Grandfather liked it so much he made reservations for us for Father's Day. I would recommend this place to anyone and I'll be returning for sure.
Pros: Great value for what your getting
Cons: The place fills up quick
