Owner
Pat's Philly Steaks and Subs, a family owned business with Philadelphia roots is famous for creating some of the tastiest cheesesteaks and subs in Denver since 1999. Pat's produces an authentic Philly taste using only the finest meats and cheeses. They oven roast their turkey and roast beef on the premises daily and use fresh baked rolls that are consistently recognized as "East Coast" style by many former Philadelphians in the Denver Area.

Used to be the best

Yes, they may have the best cheesesteaks in Denver, but at this particular location the service and food quality has gone downhill over the past year or two and I still get it about once a week or so. The meat portions are less and less every time. I mean yeah the economy stinks, but if I am paying 10 bucks for a 2 dollar sandwich you better throw some friggin meat on there. If i wanted a salad on bread that's what I would have went to Subway! The worst thing is the attitude of the people that run the register. I won't get into semantics, but the guys that run this location are the worst! One of them once put a tip onto my card, which I did not put on there. WTF is up with that? This is the only Pat's I have been to, but I am pretty sure the Philadelphia attitude is not supposed to come with my cheesesteak. It's very unfortunate that I work close by and continue to give Pat's its umpteenth chance.
- Pros: Excellent Parking
- Cons: Where's the guy that ran this place 2 years ago when it was good?
Best Cheese Wit... ever
by sallycracker
I used to work in three different cheese steak locations in/around Philly, this is by far the best you will ever get out here. At least they don't make you the lingo to get a great sandwhich. And order to bag or table is really quick.
The bread is perfect, chewy yet crusty the meat is tender and not overcooked - which is easy to do if you have no clue! The only negative is that you actually have to ask for extra cheese in order for it to be propely cheesed.
My fave besides your standard cheese wit... the PJ Gobbler (COLD ONLY). They fresh roast that turkey and serve it on bread with cranberry sauce and stuffing. Don't have to wait until Thanksgiving anymore for your day after sandwhich. And they have the traditional snack cakes too. I waited years to get those again!
This review is ONLY for the Quebec location, NOT DTC. DTC service is sub-standard, rude, slow during times you should be fast and not customer oriented like the one at Quebec.
- Pros: Bread, snack cakes
- Cons: the DTC location
Best Cheese Steak Sandwiches Ever!

This is my first review here, but I just had to do it. This place deserves business!
I moved to Denver in Nov. of 2006. Since my arrival I've asked friends & co-workers where I can find a good sub / cheesesteak shop. I kept getting answers consisting of these little foo-foo sandwich shops that have the word "gourmet" in their names just to jack up the price of a typical sandwich I could make at home. I quit asking around.
I found Pat's Cheesesteaks, of all places, in the coupons in the back of the phone directory. I said "Let's try it. It's just a couple miles from home and absolutely can't be any worse than those we've been trying".
I was skeptical when I walked in the door, I mean, the place is nothing to look at. Undaunted by appearances I looked the menu over and ordered a medium cheesesteak. Service was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. A few minutes later my cheesesteak arrived at the table. Anyone who knows anything about cheesesteaks knows that it's all about the bread - and Pat's has *THE* bread for cheesesteaks! It's not some wimpy soft bread that falls apart under the weight and moisture of the contents, but it's not so hard that it hurts to bite into it. Their bread is perfectly chewy every time.
The cheesesteak is just exactly that - cheese & steak. If you prefer sweet peppers & onions on yours then be sure to order the Pat's Phatty. Their new South Florida Cuban is very good too (and I should know, I spent 5? years in Miami before moving here). There are more sandwiches to choose from. Make your choice and top it off with an order of fries or onion rings & a drink and you've got the perfect picnic fixings for a day at the park. When you order, note the sizes of the bread up on the wall. They have four sandwich sizes to choose from, but beware of the BIGGIE - it's huge!
If you like sandwiches there are lots of places to go, but Pat's is the only place for an AUTHENTIC PHILLY CHEESE STEAK. I'm a loyal customer - you should be too!
- Pros: high quality food & friendly service
- Cons: appearance
