From pecan waffles to legendary hash browns, breakfast fare rules at this homey 24-hour chain restaurant--but don't miss the chili..
In Short
Since 1955, this Atlanta-based chain has welcomed an all-hours crowd of shift workers, suits, regulars and late-night partiers with comfy booths and an extensive menu of Southern-accented home-style grub. Waffles (pecan or regular) are the restaurant's most popular dish. Other breakfast favorites include porterhouse T-bone steak and eggs, country ham, and signature hash browns cooked seven ways, from smothered with onions to topped with chili or cheese. Another bargain is the bowl of chili, which comes topped with onions, ham and cheese.

Why is mshopper001 reviewing a restaurant two years after she's eaten there? I eat here quite often as i have business in the area. It is an old-fashioned diner, with staff who really do know their customer's names. I wonder if mshopper001 answered the manager's inquiry truthfully when she asked how their experience was! it seems like a grudge, writing after such a long time...
at any rate, their system may not be perfect, but cooked-to-order bacon beats steam table bacon in my book anytime! Their omelets are wonderful! Fluffy and hot and cooked-to-order as well.
The pecan waffle with bacon is a great combination.

Worst waffle place ever!.
I went to this location about a couple of years ago, so things may have changed by now, but the experience there was awful two years ago. When my husband and I got there, the place was packed. We had to wait for several minutes to be seated, which could happen at any restaurants, so that part was okay. Then, a couple of people sitting at the counter left. It was our turn to be seated next. We waited for awhile, but nobody came to seat us. My husband finally asked one of the waiters if we could take the seats at the counter. We sat there almost 10 minutes until someone finally came to take an order from us. Then, we had to sit at the uncleaned counter with no drink for another 15 minutes. Our food did not come out at the same time. My waffle was very thin and lukewarm. It was not worth waiting or paying for it.
The place was pretty busy, but they had plenty of people working that day or maybe too many people working that they were getting each other's way. It seems that they were confused with orders. One waiter was complaining that some other waiter took her order. They were just standing around by the waffle maker and watching while they could have cleaned tables. It was obvious they were not organized. When we were leaving, a manager asked us if everything was okay with a big smile on her face. She obviously had no idea what was happening at her store. I will not recommend this place to anyone, not this location at least. Other location may be okay.
