Sam Taylor's Bar B-Q

Horrible Service. So yesterday I called to place an order for pickup and I was on hold for 10 minutes, when a person returned on the phone I was asked " how can I help you?" I said "I would like to place an order." and I was placed on hold for another 5-6 minutes. Finally a person decided to help me but I believe he was new because he couldn't understand how to place what I wanted to order in the system so that took about another 8 minutes. I did the worst thing ever and asked how much was my order going to be and the question took another 2 minutes to answer. I kept my cool the whole entire time (never be mean to the person cooking your food!). So I went to go pick up my order and the guy (trying to be nice) greeted me with a smile and said "let me re-warm your order it will be out in just a minute. So I bite down and give him a smile and say "okay, thanks." I was given my bill so I pulled out my cash to pay and one of the servers (Caucasian girl, brown hair and looks about 5'6 or 7) took my money (with an attitude) and never returned with my change (which was only 50 cent) I finally see the girl and she is at the bar talking and eating off someone's plate so I went to her and asked "how much money did I give you?" and she looked at me, walked over to the register dug in her apron and walked back over to me and threw my change on the counter instead of handing it to me!!!! WTFFF! I was so upset that I wanted to cuss her a*ss out, ask for my money back and walk out-but I was hungry (LOL!) The best BBQ in Denver. I have just returned from my third visit to Sam Taylor's BBQ. There are not enough adjectives to describe the food and how great it tastes. All three times my family and I have ordered the sampler platter receiving sausage, chicken, beef and pork ribs. The sauce and flavor of the food is beyond compare. The service is the best I have had in a restaurant. The staff is always smiling and friendly with the owner always visiting the table to ensure service and food were good. Do not leave this restaurant without trying the home made potato chips with BBQ sauce; they are wonderful.  View Less … View More

Two times there - two times overcharged my credit card. Visited Sam Taylor's BBQ twice: I enjoyed the BBQ ribs. Service was usually very slow, even when the place was pretty empty. The chicken we found too greasy. The real bad thing was that I paid twice by credit card. The first payment was charged TWICE to my credit card (once on the day we have actually eaten and again on the following day - how could this happen???) and the second payment the staff "rounded up" beyond the 15 % or so what I wanted to pay as tips)
