Spectacular food, great atmosphere. Wildflower is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the Denver metro area. The cafe is housed in what looks to have been perhaps the first floor of an old house or shop, with two main rooms. I am continually amazed at how many people they manage to squeeze in there. The staff seem to be mostly local high school kids who are incredibly friendly and the food is awesome. Get the wild potatoes -- you won't regret it. They're potato chip sized and coated in garlic, parmesan cheese, and overall goodness. The omelettes are huge and tasty, the skillets are belly busters, and they have a lot of vegetarian options. Oh and while you're waiting for your food, sneak next door for some apple fritter bites from the bakery. This is a great little place to head to after a long hike in the local foothills; that way, you are hungry enough to order double!
Phenomenal!.
My famish friends and I tried out this little cafe after a hike this past summer. To our surprise, it greatly surpassed any of our expectations. We were all sold after we were coaxed to try mayo and vinegar on our french fries. I was pleased to see vegetarian options and enjoyed a veggie sandwich.
They serve both breakfast and lunch and by the looks of the breakfast menu I will definitely be waking up early to make the drive up there before 11:30 cut off. After returning this past week, my friends and I were once again wowed by the food and accomodating staff. I suggest a hike around Red Rocks after a meal at the Wildflower Cafe for those who will be heading back towards Denver!
