Editorial Review for Tommyknocker Brewery & Pub – by Marty Jones
In Short
Set in a 19th-century former boarding house, Tommyknocker's is a real beauty, especially the main bar. Locals, antiques shoppers, and traffic-avoiding skiers make up the bulk of the crowds. A maple nut brown, featuring muted notes of maple in the aroma and palate, is the flagship beer--the draft version is especially good. A buffalo meatloaf is one of the popular items on this menu of standard American fare and bar grub.

My friend and I took a tour of the brewery with a very informative brewmaster who was happy to answer all of our questions. The restaurant is in the same room as the brewery and had better than the average offerings from a bar type menu. The nachos were some of the best I've had. They offer a sampler of 10-11 of their beers for $12.95, which was a great introduction to their products. The maple nut brown is especially good - I lament it's not available where I live.
Pros: Beer, Inexpensive
