De Maison Ski Rental

Good Price and Location; Nasty Supervisor and Service. My husband and I rented from this location. The price is cheap but the service was horrible. I rented skis and my husband, snowboards. The snowboarding boot that they gave my husband had a Polar Heat Packs stuck to the insole. When he tried it on at the store he couldn't feel the discomfort yet. After the second day of snowboarding the wood fiber which was in the polar heat pack broke to pieces and my husband endured a lot of discomfort before ripping it out. He had not done it sooner for fear of destroying the insole of the boot and then later having to pay for it.

When we returned the rentals we commented about the heat pack to the store supervisor, Kevin, B. All we were asking was for them to check the equipment prior to renting as it would have been nice. Kevin was extremely rude and condescending. He told us it was our fault for not checking the boot prior to leaving the store and that he can't personally go through each boot before renting them. When I told him how annoyed I was that he was blaming us he bid me a good day and walked away. I felt like I was talking to a spoiled teenager.

I spoke to the owner of the store a week after that incident about this and he was very nice and apologetic. It is too bad that the store has someone like Kevin working with customers.  View Less … View More
