The Scene
Nestled in a quiet enclave a few blocks from the center of town, the hotel feels like a private hideaway. Surrounded by aspen groves, the one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom condos offer varying degrees of luxury. Individually owned and refurbished regularly, each unit features private balconies, wood-burning fireplaces and full kitchens. Large, angular windows afford spectacular views of Aspen Mountain to the west and Independence Pass to the east.
The Amenities
Built as a year-round resort, this property appeals as much to groups of 20-somethings as it does to families. Lively adults lounge in bubbling hot tubs, après-ski, while kids frolic in nearby heated pools. Well-known to locals, the famous "Gant Van" takes guests to town (and picks them up almost until the bars close). Five tennis courts (two of which are clay) set the scene for some serious matches, and a clean, fully equipped exercise room hardly gets used.
