Dr. Nicolette Picerno, M.D. Faces First Center for Facial and Laser Surgery

Want your lips done... Maybe, NEED an ENT? Look elsewhere!. Read the reviews... If you want your lips done or some other shallow swing at your vanity it seems Nicolette Picerno just might be the Doc for you! I just wish she had the decency and courage of her convictions to state up-front that this is where her true interests lie and quit wasting her time (and those of us who need serious medical attention for ENT related matters) accepting new ENT patients. I have seen her 3 times now and on each occasion I found her to be rude, arrogant, condescending and generally disinterested assuming she knows you better than you know yourself. She proved a poor listener and so, a poor diagnostician who would be well served checking her politics at the door. Her approach to my case was little more than a rubber-stamp diagnoses with barely a glance over her shoulder as she rushed out the door to whatever it was that was more important to her at the time, than was caring for my medical need. On each occasion it seemed that she couldn't escape my audience quickly enough.

In total, I found her to be largely unprofessional and ill suited to the trade. In short. she's fired!  View Less … View More

Wrong Doctor for ENT issues.. I was referred to Dr. Picerno's practice by one of my doctors for balance and throat/neck problems. She was the first available doctor that I could get an appointment with. Judging from the reviews on this site, she must be a great plastic surgeon, but from an ENT perspective, she wasn't the best. From the beginning of the visit I could tell she didn't want to handle my case. She was short with me, unfriendly and condescending. She did at least do an exam of my throat and neck, but was not very forthcoming with information when I asked her about comments she was having her PA write in my chart. She acted as if I should not be asking questions. I will give her credit for recommending further testing for my balance and the support staff was very kind and professional on the two additional visits I made to the office. I just wish when I had called in for an appointment, her staff had directed me to a doctor who specialized in ENT issues rather than a plastic surgeon who saw my issues as beneath her skill set. More to the point, I wish she had said that she prefers to handle plastic surgery cases and that she had referred me to one of her more willing colleagues. Breath of fresh air. I saw several doctors for chronic sinus infections (8-10 per year) over the last 8 years using every antibiotic available. I decided to leave my doctor and see a specialist. Dr Picerno recommended and performed sinus surgery on me about 3 years ago. The only sinus infections I have had since the surgery have been my fault --forgetting to use my nasal allergy medication. Since my surgery, I have referred three other family members for ear, nose and throat issues, and all have been extremely happy with Nicolette.  View Less … View More

Wonderful Doctor, Juvederm lip fill. Dr. Picerno injected the lines around my lips with Juvederm in April 2007. It is now nearing three months and the result is still very good. Dr. P was excellent - a real artist with this procedure. My lips look natural and back to what they were 10 years ago. They are not lumpy and are not over done. It hurt to have it done, but not excessively - sort of like bee stings. I actually went back to work, but will take the rest of the day off next time because it did swell some, but was gone in a day or so. The procedure was worth the pain and cost.
