In Short
With its dark wood details, celebrity photos and tuxedo-clad waiters, this upscale steakhouse chain has the air of a posh men's club. Service is professional and discreet, with bartenders making a mean martini. Dinners begin with a waiter-driven cart laden with fresh vegetables, live lobster and cuts of steak; customers choose from porterhouse, rib-eye, bone-in prime rib and more. Side dishes are traditional and enormous, from baked potatoes and creamed spinach to steamed broccoli with hollandaise.

I came here early on a Friday night with a party of three. We arrived around 5:30 and did not have reservations, but we were easily seated. By the time we left the restaurant, it was packed, so I'd recommend reservations if you'll be eating during "normal" saturday night dinner hour. I ordered the double-portioned filet mignon. You're already paying so much for the single portion that for almost double the ounces it's only about $5 more. The leftovers made a great lunch the next day. The steak came out rare exactly like I ordered it. The side dishes are large enough to share with the table. We had an attentive waiter. Overall, it was a great experience. I agree with another reviewer who send you should expect to spend about $100 a head. The bill for my party of three came out to be about $250 plus $50 tip, so right on the money.
Pros: great food, great service
Cons: Expect to spend LOTS of money

Anytime I have a romantic anniversary/occasion I choose Mortons in DTC. Easily accessible and never busy I have an outstanding experience each time. I've learned to stick with good servers so Sierra serves us each time but I'm sure the other staff is just as accommodating! The food is delicious and I always have enough for two meals, not to mention the exquisite dessert. Definitely give this location a try if the downtown spot is busy.
