Too expensive for the small portion sizes. They recently cut the portion sizes in half by switching to small to-go plastic containers. $8.00 for lunch for a child's portion size does not represent a good value to me. I stopped going there.

Poor Attitude. My husband picked me up on my lunch break today and I had a taste for chinese. I regret ever happening upon this place. We walked inside and immediately we were asked to be seated which is the only thing I can say I liked about the experience. I asked if i could order to go, there was a young girl who was very nice by the way but there was also an older women who scowled at us as if we were there to eat her for lunch. after helping myself to a menu on the front counter my husband and I sat down after we decided what to order I stood up and told the older lady what I wanted, my husband then asked how big the portions are because he was not very hungry and her response to him was well if you dont want it you can go somewhere else. I was shocked at her behavior and immediately had to leave or I would have in fact had this women for lunch, but decided instead to write a review to let everyone know how my husband and I were treated. I still cant figure out why we were treated this way, we did nothing to provoke this rude behavior. My husband and I are African American and I hate to say it but racial discrimination is what i would call it. I thought at first maybe she was just having a bad day, but several other people came in and out of the resturant while we were there and this women seemed to be very curteous to them, of course they were all asian or white. My point is if you happen to be a black american you might not want to eat at hoong's palace. I cant comment on the food because we were obvioulsy not welcome to it.

Best we've found in 4 1/2 years of searching....... When we moved to Parker just over four years ago, we started trying Chinese Restaurants. We came from an area where excellent Chinese food was fairly easy to find. After trying about 25 restaurants, we were about to give up on Chinese food in this area. Then, someone from work recommended Hoong's. It is great. If the dish is marked as spicy, it will be seasoned appropriately. The quality is consistent, portions are large, and they have brown rice. Service is also excellent. The only negative we've found is they don't provide fried noodles with the carry out hot and sour soup. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes good Chinese food.

consistent quality of food, service, cleanliness. Eaten there since it opened. Between the two granddaughters and hubbie, there is little chance of going to any other chinese restaurant. We usually average a meal a week. The service, quality, preparation and menu offerings are unequaled. The same familiar, friendly staff is always there. The kitchen staff sends out perfectly executed meals everytime!

Great bang for the buck. This place is extremely cheap and fast for a good lunch, but don't be fooled. It's a great value and quality is not sacrificed. The food is some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. The soups are outstanding. I eat at this place on average about 3 times a month, sometimes more.

And at dinnertime, though the prices jump a little bit, the portions get very very big! I often split it up and eat later for as much as two meals at a later time.

They also have some very interesting house dishes - try the Singapore Rice Vermicelli.

The one and only downside - if you happen to sit in the bar area, the smoke. If you avoid that area, not a problem, though.

Overall, a great place, great atmosphere, great food and very polite staff. I'm getting hungry just writing this review.

Best Chinese Food in South Suburbs. Having tried most Chinese places in the south suburbs, Hoongs is at the top of the list. Great food and service with a huge menu of all the standard Chinese dishes with some new ones thrown in. Plenty of parking and lots of seating.

Great Food. Good food, polite waiters, and very clean and comfortable. Almost never a wait.
