Jamie is wonderful. I spent 34 years trying to figure out my curly hair. In one session she taught me how to properly care for my hair and give myself beautiful curls. Thanks Jamie!  View Less View More

I saw Jamie today for my first Deva cut. She was amazing. She walked me through the process to getting great curls at home and did a great job of educating me. The color she did is everything I could hope for too!  View Less View More

great for curly heads, but avoid owner. I agree with some of the reviews below that the owner of Shapes, Richelle, is not friendly at all. She never looks me in the eye when she greets me and I always feel like she is annoyed that I am there. She answers my attempts at friendly conversation (it can be very awkward) with one word. She complains about her staff and other customers, which I find so unprofessional. She orders them around and scolds them in front of me and I feel embarrassed for her. She has done a good job on my hair for awhile, especially the color, so I continued to go to her, but I have finally had it. It puts me in the worst mood to get my hair done because she is so negative and unhappy.  View Less View More

I second the Review for Jeanna!!. I completely agree with Elizabeth's review. I love, love, love my hair. An article in the Denver Post this past spring led to the revelation that there are actually stylists for curly hair these days. I started out at a salon close to work, with stylist who "cuts curly" and even though she knew that's why I was coming, blew my hair out straight like a giant helmet every time. I thought well as long as the cut is good I can work it myself. The last time I came home from the salon, my hubby asked me what happened to my head.

In between I started using one of the Deva Curl products and went to their website to find out how to use it and what others may be good for me. I found a whole new Curly Girl revolution going on, along with a search for stylist feature.

This is how I came across Jeanna. My hubby says "do you know how many salons are between Castle Rock and Denver???" But now that I've gone to Jeanna, I can't go back to just anyone.

Like Elizabeth, she talked me through step by step what she was doing to I could repeat the process. I haven't had my hair professionally collored in forever and she selected an awesome color for me. I told her I was completely lazy with my routine and didn't want to have to put much effort into it. Her response was that my "styling" would be done before I left the shower. I then just need to leave it alone to dry.. and she wasn't exagerating.

I've had tons of compliments on my hair, and people at work asking if I'd gotten a perm (do they still do those??). I'm elated to say, I am now a Curly Girl!!

Thank you Jeanna!!  View Less

Ask for Jeanna!. I LOVE my cut! I went to Jeanna, who specializes in cutting curly hair. She did a fantastic job on my cut and gave me great instructions on how I can repeat the same steps at home, and I actually CAN! I've never had so many complements on my hair! I've had my fare share of bad curly cuts, but I will deffinately be back to JEANNA! Highly recommend this place!  View Less View More
