Lakewood >Hacienda Colorado
great mexican food, hit and miss service. Sometimes the wait staff is really on top of it, sometimes i'm left without a drink for a long time. The food is fantastic, however, which it should be for the price.
Becoming to "Fast Food". We have always loved the food at Hacienda but our most recent visit has made us rethink calling it our favorite mexican food restaurant. The service was not friendly, the food was cool and something was different about the flavors of items we have ordered time and again. It just seemed like something had changed in the atmosphere there and it felt more like a "fast food" type place than a finer dining place for the $$! Not sure what's going on there but they should fix it or they will lose long time customers like ourselves.
Worst Service EVER!. The Southwest Plaza location has the worst service of any restaurant I have ever been to. I thought that the last time I dined in it could not get any worse when the waitress argued with me when I wanted to get a house margarita instead of the premium margarita I had been drinking, accusing me of not knowing what I ordered or what would be good. Strange enough the rest of the evening was horrible service as my girlfriend had to ask a nearby manage for a water refill, and then for the check. Did I mention that we were told there were 2 waiters serving us that night? Tonight I decided I would try again but order to-go to avoid poor service. I went to the waitress as directed by the hostess to retrieve my order and was promptly told it would be out in just a second. The waitress then proceeded to load up her tray and served other customers forcing me to wait nearly 10 minutes. When she finally returned she didn't even have my order! She made another waitress carry all the food while she opened up a bag. I paid and went on my way discouraged but happy to at least be having dinner. When I got home a mere 10 minutes later all the food was COLD. What really got me though was the taco that I specifically asked to be placed in its own container so that it would not be soggy. I did get my taco in a separate container but it was SO soggy that it disintegrated, I had a half a flexible taco shell laying on top of cold chicken and lettuce. I recommend that no one ever go to this location unless they are looking for a reason to be angry.
Casa Bonita has better food..
I have had much better food at Taco Bell. The drink price was a mystery. They are making a "new" drink menu so in the process, they have no price to look at.....until you get the bill. Ouch!
The food was so bad. Save your money. Was not happy.
Great atmosphere, TERRIBLE food.. The restaurant certainly doesn't live up to some of the raves that I've heard. I've now been there twice, and won't bother going back. Sadly, it could be so much more than it is. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, and wouldn't mind the insane waits if the quality of food matched. But you can get better "mexican" food at any On The Border or other chain restaurant. Don't waste your time or your money!
Casa Bonita quality, Morton Steakhouse prices.. The food is bland, the service is slow, the place is crowded. Save your time and avoid this place.
Good Food, Bad Service. Apart from some of the other reviews the food was not great, but good. The ambience is more upscale which is a nice change from the typical Mexican dive, but the service ruined it for me. I have experienced poor to horrible service 4 of the 5 times I have eaten there. From the hostess to the bar tender to the servers, they were all rude, most of the time. I refuse to be treated that way by some young kid and will not be going there again.
Great big disappointment. The food was terrible, no vegetarian selections unless you like loads of cheese and pinto beans that are about five beans in soupy sauce. Everything was overpriced and the margaritas were sickenly sweet and very weak. The salsa was very bland and reminded me of spagetti sauce. My date had to send back his chicken enchiladas because he couldn't even eat them. He said the chicken tasted awful. My veggie fajitas consisted of greasy fried green peppers and a tiny dollop of processed guacemole with three tortillias for about nine bucks. They actually gave me a tiny cup of sauce with about five pinto beans on the bottom. The green peppers must have been fried in lard!
The worst!. This has to be the worst "mexican" restuarant I have ever been to. And I tried to give it another chance and also tried another location. I don't think I've ever received food there that is actually fully cooked. Every time I've ever been there someones (if not more than one person) meal has to be sent back because it's not right or not what they ordered. The service is horrible!!! The first time we went we waited at least 30 minutes for our drinks (and that was AFTER waiting for the waitress to to even come to our table). We even spoke to a manager on one occasion, but he was rude as well. I will never go back to this place again!
A nice change from the usual dive.. I always thought good mexican food could only be found at little dive restaurants. Hacienda has proved that is not case. The margaritas and spicy green chile are excellent. Everthing was very fresh (including gaucamole). I really enjoyed the enchilidas and chili rellenos (crunchy, how I like them). Service was great, which you usually don't get in the small neighborhood spots.
