Can they not do a simple oil change?.
I went to get an oil change at Brakes Plus on County Line and Quebec and after the oil change was done the tech came out and said there was a problem with my oil pan plug. I had him show it to me and
he showed me how he had put the plug back in and had put silicone around it to stop it from leaking. He said there was a problem with the plug screwing correctly into the oil pan and that it could be stripped. I asked how much it would cost to fix and he said around $500.
I didn't trust him so, for the next oil change I took it to Toy Masters on Broadway and had them look at it.Then Wow! Low and behold the owner checked it and put a simple gasket on the plug and everything was fine. I was so worried that I had to lay out a lot of cash only to find out there wasn't a problem at all. Isn't an oil change a simple service? I'm very leery of this Brakes Plus and won't go back there again.…
