Illegal Pete's is the place for breakfast. I love stopping in here for a quick breakfast once I get off the Express bus. It's right across from the Market Street RTD station.

Love the tacos and breakfast burritos.

One of these days, I'm going to stay later and visit for Happy Hour, and try a burrito.

Great food, quick. Are you in need of a quick Mexican fix, or a completely and totally filling meal on a budget? It's completely worth a trip to Pete's then. Their fast service will get you out the door (or to the table, at least) quickly and leave you sated.

Illegal Pete's offers pretty much the best fast-casual burritos, if not the best all around, in town. Certainly the best fish burritos -- get the Big Fish. Great queso dip too. On top of that, they serve Hazed and Infused, run a decent happy hour, and know how to make a margarita fresh.

Don't be intimidated by lines, as the longest wait is typically about five-six minutes, and that's if they're out the door. The only downside is the musical choices can be a bit... poor and loud enough to discourage conversation at times.

Best burritos ever. Try a potato burrito, you will not be let down. I love Illegal Pete's entirely too much, but don't take my word for it, try it yourself.

The place for a burrito and a beer!. I've only been to the one off of County lIne and Yosemite. The staff is amazing. Love how they mix up the ingredients in the burritos. The fish tacos are great and so are the steak burrito bowls. Bartenders work hard and they play good music. Sometimes gets a little crowded during happy hour, but thats just cuz there are decent happy hour specials on drinks. You can get complimentary chips and salsa too!

mmmmmmmm. Yes, the burrito "purists" probably aren't comfortable with some of the creative options here, but really, when it's this darn tasty I don't see how anyone can complain. The Big Fish with fajita veggies rocks my world; I don't know how they make the fish so ridiculously moist and crispy at the same time (I'm sure it involves a lot of frying, so maybe I'm better not knowing details). MmmmmmmmmPete's.

Food served fast and fresh. I have been a devoted Chipolte fan for a while, but Illegal Pete's have a few things that are better. The 4 things that make this place stand out are 1) They mix up the ingredients in the burrito before they roll it up and serve it. 2) If you order a burrito bowl, you get a bag of chips or tortilla and it does not cost extra 3) The chips are a superior quality and lighter 4) There is a trivia question for a free drink. The prices are the same and the food quality is pretty much the same, but I have been choosing Illegal Pete's more frequently than Chipolte.

Better than Chipotle?. Someone recommended this place as a superior alternative to Chipotle. After reading several

reviews repeating that sentiment, I decided to check these guys out. Supposedly the

ingredients are fresher, the portions larger, and the salsa spicier. I ordered a shredded beef

burrito with rice, sour cream, cheese, their hottest salsa and no beans. While the burrito was

somewhat palatable, they in no way compare to those offered at Chipotle. The shredded beef

was cold and largely devoid of seasoning and their "hottest" salsa definitely lacked spice. The

cilantro-lime rice was too light on the cilantro, too heavy on the lime and served only to make

my burrito overly sour and citrusy. The portions were weak to say the least. I've never finished

a Chipotle burrito with anything less than a full stomach, but this burrito left me wanting more,

and not in a good way. I don't know if things have changed or if I just showed up on a bad day,

but I think I'll stick with Chipotle in the future.

They mix the ingredients!. Tired of getting a mouth full of rice at the other guys burrito shops? Give Illegal Pete's a try, where they mix the ingredients so you get all the tastes in one mouth full. I recommend the fish burrito.
