Editorial Review for P.F. Chang's China Bistro – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Towering twin stallions and carved wood screens add majesty and mystery to this stylish restaurant, where well-dressed patrons sip martinis at the bar and families with children feast around large tables or in spacious booths. The menu gives Chinese classics a contemporary tweak; dishes are artfully presented, with many sauces made tableside by servers. Signature plates include diced chicken wrapped in cool lettuce leaves, orange-peel beef with chili peppers, and wok-fried scallops with lemon sauce.

PF Changs is a huge chain, which I wasn't really aware of until I moved across the county and noticed the same giant horses and facade at the flatirons mall. It shouldn't be counted against them, but it probably is. They have successful flavor pairings and innovative menu offerrings. The asian style fare ranges from classic indian dishes and standard americanized chinese restaurant dishes to interesting pairings of citrus and spice over fish. The biggest flaws in PF Changs are huge noisy spaces and high menu prices. The portions are large to ccombat the high prices and in my opinion should be shared or taken home for another meal. The service is really a gamble. I've had nothing but success at the Broomfield location with smiling happy people seating me and bringing my food. But I was also bumped in the back of the head by harried service people trying to navigate the tight spaces. Overall I really like the meals at PF Changs, but I prefer them on someone elses dime.

The service is excellent. The food is amazing. The fact that the restaurant is non-smoking is awesome. My husband and I just tried this restaurant recently. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves chinese. The price is also great!
