OK Service - But Not Sure if its Worth the Money. If you want average service and okay staff, then I would recommend this Vida Salon location. However, if you are looking for friendly staff and great services at reasonable prices, then I would recommend going elsewhere.

The lowest haircuts start around $30, which are with new staff that don't have much experience. My hairstyle is very basic and is basically a shoulder-length trim with a little texturing at the bottom and no layers. Most of the new employees can handle the basic trim. However, when I tried a more complicated hair-cut, basically a bob, I have NOT found a new stylist at Vida that can do a good job. In one instance, I had to go back to get the cut fix by a more experienced stylist. The more experienced stylist was able to fix the cut. But, if I would like to use the more experienced stylist again, it will cost about $60. I'm not sure if their stylists are worth that much money though because they are not friendly. I have had a number of haircuts at this location and have noticed that if you're not a client of the more experienced stylists then don't expect them to talk to you, acknowledge you, or be nice to you. In general, it feels like these stylists have an "I'm too good for you" attitude.

After my last experience, I do NOT plan to go back to Vida. I'm just not satisfied or impressed with their services anymore. I think a salon at a Masters Cuts level would give me the same service at a better price. At least the staff would be more friendly.

So...try at your own risk....

Great haircut, friendly stylist!. I recently moved to Colorado looking for a new salon and stylist, I liked my last Aveda salon so I tried Vida. It's always scary going to a new person but I was given an appointment with Michelle, she had a very cute haircut and highlights herself, which is always a good sign. I really liked the cut she gave me, she took a lot of time with it, making sure it was just how I wanted- which made me feel great. It's one of the cutest haircuts I've had in a long time and I'm definitely going back again soon. She was super friendly and fun to talk to. If you're looking for a new stylist, give her a try!

Fantastic Salon. I am from Denver and I have had a really hard time finding a stylist and a salon I like. I have fine, thin hair and it's very hard to find a stylist who understands my hair. I booked an appointment with Carolyn because I saw the good reviews about her and I got one of the cutest haircuts I've ever had. My hair is auburn and it can be really hard to find someone who can do the color correctly too. Red is a very difficult color to get right. The color is just great. The salon is relaxed, clean and everyone is very nice. This is a great salon!

Great AVEDA salon in Denver! Most stunning haircut I've had in years!. I called Vida salon when I first moved to Denver, because I really love using Aveda products. I was nervous at first because I had been going to the same stylist for many years back in Texas, so trusting my hair with a brand new stylist was quite frightening! However, when I came into Vida the overall vibe of the salon completely put me at ease. The friendly receptionist greeted me and offered me a beverage, so initially I was very impressed. Carolyn, the stylist I was randomly matched with, came over and introduced herself. I told her about my previous stylist and how I liked my hair colored dark with a hint of red and conveyed my nervousness about the cut, but she put me right at ease. The end result was fabulous! I could not have been happier with the outcome of my hair. I highly recommended the salon to some of my friends and people who have complimented me on my 'do, and everyone who has been to the salon returns because they have been so satisfied with their results as well! Last time I went to Vida salon, they were preparing to open a barber shop in the back section; I can only imagine that the new addition of a barber shop would be as successful as their main salon. Vida salon also offers complimentary clean-ups for both women and men. I highly recommend Vida to anyone looking for a new salon or just a change!

I'll go back.... Jen cut my hair, and she did a great job. She's very low key, which worried me a little bit, at first--like maybe she wasn't interested in my haircut. As it turns out, there was no need to worry, as this is the best haircut I've had in years!

The salon itself is very calm and laid-back--no loud music or shrill sylists. They didn't push product.

It's a hip neighborhood, but Vida has a friendly vibe.

There are a couple of negatives. A previous reviewer mentioned the hairwashing chairs. They are uncomfortable. There's also no place to hang your purse during the haircut.

I love my hair. I recently went to see Carolyn to get my haircut and she gave me a very cute a-line bob but she put her own twist on it. Needless to say it looks amazing. The next day at work a perfect stranger asked me where I had gotten my haircut. I never hesitate to brag about Vida and what a good salon it is. I love Aveda and I would never lower my standards after using their products. I will always come back to Carolyn, she is great!

Friendly neighborhood salon. My husband and I have been going to Vida for almost a year now and really like the service. Carolyn styles both of our hair and does an excellent job of listening to what we want - and being creative as well.

The only con is the terribly uncomfortable chairs you have to sit (or slide off of) while you're getting your hair washed.

Looks like a nice salon - doesn't provide good services. "I have been to this salon twice - my 2nd visit was a year later from my 1st. My 1st experience wasn't the best. I asked for a trim - just enough to get the split ends off - a simple enough request - and my stylist wasn't successful. I noticed when I got home, the woman barely took any split ends off. She spent A LOT of time talking during our appointment and I actually think she just lost focus of her job. The 2nd time around I asked the receptionist how much experience my stylist had. She told me 5 years, but when the stylist, Michelle, worked on me, it seemed to be her 1st day on the job. She seemed very nervous and was asking me what products I thought she should use on my hair, she didn't know how to mix color, and she wasn't sure how to use the color toner and needed to be directed. Also, the girl who helped Michelle mix the color was less than polite when I had questions about the type of coloring I should receive. Needless to say, they lied about Michelle's experience. Another note, while the place looks really cool, the lighting is terrible. It was hard to tell the true color of my hair when it was done and the down lighting casts horrible shadows on your face. If you go to a place to look beautiful, should't the environment help foster that feeling? That's part of what they're getting paid for afterall."

Fabulous cut and color!. I have to admit, I am really picky about my cut and color. And even picky me loved this place! It's teeny with a casual feel. But who cares about that! The cut and color by Heather were heads and tails beyond the fancy places I've been to. I'm going back! No more Cherry Creek joints for me.
