Excellent Italian Food and a Community Minded Restaurant. We have been going to Papa J's for years. The food is always good. They have the best pizza and Calzone's anywhere and we love their homemade spegetti. You go to dinner to have a relaxing experience and so many restaurants rush you through. Papa J's allows you time to enjoy your dining experience. Maybe that is why a few reviews complained about slow service, they are used to being rushed out.

On another note, when we had a fundraiser for a friend, they donated food to help and then delivered it too! You won't find a better family. Give Papa J's a try. You won't be disappointed.

Great Home-style Italian. My family and I are regulars here and as I was looking for the web address I came upon a previous review. I was shocked by this beerman's negativity, lack of education, unjustified assumptions and poor palate! He must've been drunk! I wanted to clear a few things up. This place is still owned and operated by the Giraldi family. Their sauces and meats are homemade and are always great. The pizzas and calzones are the best in town and we've always had attentive and friendly service. Try it yourself to see why they've been in business for so long! Yum!

poor service and food. The maetballs and sausage are always different, very dry and seem to come from a food service (frozen). The sauce is never the same any two times. Don't know if it's canned or if they have different cooks making it daily. Also a little pricey for spaghetti and meatballs. The service is so so. They should have kept it on Lowell it seemed more family owned and operated, don't see any of the original owners at the new place. the people who run it now don't even look like there Italian.

One of the Best Italian Restaurants in Denver. We were so sad to see Valente's close down on W. 38th Ave--it was the best Italian in Denver for decades. We were glad to find Papa J's with a traditional, cozy, nice but comfortable Italian atmosphere, great service and great food on 75th Ave & Sheridan. The service is great! The atmosphere is great! The food is great! Some, but not all of their pastas are homemade--spag is not linguine is. Just ask if you prefer homemade pasta. Nothing is Valente's but Papa J's is in the same league. Ample parking and large spaces for big parties. It's real Italian, so it is kid and family friendly.

great calzones. They have the best calzones around there home made spaghetti is the best. Service is excellent.

great food. was suprized by the food , went to thur lunch , had buffet and i t was great!!! pototoes, sausages, mini calzones and dessert all for $7 and I'll be back. Went for dinner and the shrimp with spag. was to die for !!! could use a little help in the service area but all was good. Give it a try!! recomennded!!

North side pasta niche. Papa J's is a real neighborhood treat for the north side, especially when Papa gets out the violin for the evening.

Papa J's or papa Joke's. This place was horrible. I had heard many rave about the taste. The atmosphere, what atmosphere. Save your money and go to pagliacci's.

THE BEST. especially if you are lucky enough to be have the owner play his violin for you.... great food and characatures drawn by the owner himself and signed by the famous.
