Great place for celebrations. We consider ourselves lucky to have been able to celebrate my husband's birthday at Randolphs last week. We made reservations and they reserved the table right in front of the fireplace. This was an absolute ++ for us, especially since Denver was experiencing sub-zero weather. The staff made sure that we felt welcome by attending to our every need. From management (Joey) and our waiter (Pablo) and to the rest of the staff. Our food was exceptional and we had a wonderful time celebrating an otherwise ordinary day.
Truely Amazing!!!!!. I had the most amazing experience at Randolph's!! The service was incredible! Pablo our server was extremely attentive and personable! The manager on duty, Joey made sure we were takin care of and was a joy to talk to! Truely wonderful to have the staff be so focused and involved in the customers needs! The food was cooked to perfection! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for AMAZING service and GREAT food!
I've had horrible but by far this is the worst experience I've had.
My friend and I wanted to be at the bar and order from the bar menu. It was not a busy night but we waited at least 45 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink. We order our drinks and the bartender disappeared, leaving us and others waiting to be served. He returned after ten minutes and finally after 15 minutes we got our drinks for a total of 60 minutes of waiting around. We had menus and were ready to order food and the bartender completely ignored us for about 25 minutes and we finally asked him to take our order. Our food arrived in about 20 minutes.....it was mediocre, nothing special to boast about. The service was horrible! It was not a happening night for the bartender to be having such a difficult time multi tasking. The manager was unfriendly, horrible attitude as well...he did not step in to help this guy who was obviously stressed over 5 people at the bar. The atmosphere was okay, all hotel guests. I would not go back, even if I was paid. I expect good service and if I don't receive it, at least compensate the bad service with a nice attitude. HORRIBLE!
Fabulous from beginning to end. My spouse and I tried this restaurant for our 20th anniversary. The food was fabulous! We ordered the crab appetizer, the scallop bisque soup, the seasonal pasta dish (which was hand rolled tortellini in a lemon sauce) and the salmon with crab stuffing special. I honestly don't remember having such a great meal anywhere else. Even the bread and honey butter was great. The service was a little slow because there was only one waiter and there was a huge conference/party, but it made the evening a little more paced and enjoyable. Parking is suppose to be free in the back of the restaurant, but I think you have to valet. It was a little unclear. We ended up finding a spot on the street. The outdoor patio was nice. Lots of traffic, but good people watching. Will definitely return to try their happy hour and/or their jazz nights.

The Food at Randolphs is one word...YUMMY!! Really, you can't go wrong ordering here! The Tuna Squares appetizer is one of my all-time favorite (and I'm not a tuna lover either!) The flavors just perfect blend and complement each other! The Carmelized Salmon is my friend's all time favorite meal! The burger is not to be missed - juicy, perfect medium-rare (as I ordered it) with plenty of toppings! You get tons of fries (HOT!) and won't leave hungry. Their steaks are second to none! What always gets me is their sauces....sweet, savory, just layers of divine flavors that complete the filet perfectly! Serious YUM!
I've eaten breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner here, and whether you sit inside or out on the patio, it's a great meal! Have an elegant dining experience - or a casual fun one out on the patio. The choice is yours!
By the way....
BGDaddy - Brunch is before Noon - not 2pm. No wonder things were sparce when you got there, because I was there too, and know that the Brunch closed at 3pm. AT 11am, there was TONS to choose from (including yummy dauphine potatoes and pasteries from Gateaux!) And, it's traditional on Easter to have lamb. Maybe check the menu before you book a brunch reservation next time...and book it earlier! If you are looking for waffles and hash browns, I suggest Original Pancake House. The problems your wrote about were no ones fault but your own.
The CHEF here is a gifted cook!!! He deserves Kuddos!!!
relax everyone. I agree with below, except my food wasn't so good I was just in hte bar, the burger would be good, but the fries were cold, and it took 5 minutes to get ketchup and it was in some little cup. Where was the rest of the bottle? Everyone there was real stressed out and freakin out all over the place. I was nervous just being there.

"wow" because the food is incredible. If any restaurant owners out there are reading this, they should find the Chef and hire 'em, because he/she is in the WRONG spot. We came because we had a coupon, and apparently we were the only ones with the coupon. Because no one else was there.
Back to the food: I love chicken, I mean I love love love chicken, and this was the best I've ever had. Pan roasted, clearly braised by hand the whole way, and cut beautifully. It was a whole half chicken, but I didn't need to do any cutting, the peeps in back did it for me. I only know knife work from Top Chef (thank you, Bravo Channel), but the people in the back know what they're doing.
Also, I could tell you about the incredible crab cakes and limitless wine list, but there are more important fish to fry... that's right, the...
They must hate the staff as much as they hate the custumers.
In between bites of divine food, I witnessed the most terrible display of cruelty I've ever seen. If you have to yell at your people (and you probably don't) can't you do it where I can't see it? Some guy (I think he had an Australian accent) kept tromping through, just to yell at our server, the busboy and the (very sweet) hostess. If he wanted to talk about problems, he should have talked to us. Apparently, he didn't even know we were there. Really, no one cares about bread THAT much.
We were so uncomfortable, we skipped the very thought of dessert.
There wasn't too much wrong with our service, but if you see a guy with red hair in an orange suit, turn around and go anywhere else!!!!
Bottom line: the food is incredible, the servers are scared, and go only if you just love love love chicken!
i got sucked into the happy hour. Well I'm a linecook that's bounced around denver's fine dinning scene for a few years so when I went to get my lips wet at Randolph's the other night I was literally blown away.They were giving away a $1 menu and half off wine(wich is the best thing a line cook in denver could wish for) so I sat,drank and ordered some food.I got a lamb chop that was beautifully caramelized with a shallot marmalade and somesort of aged balsamic(that the pure vixen bartender new absolutely nothing about the age nor brand of the balsamic)and a crab cake that was served with parma prosciutto and a black truffle aioli.The food took a little longer then I expected but it was well worth the wait.The lamb was cooked perfect with an essence of mint and the crab cakes had so much crab they should just call them crab burgers.So I had a glass of wine and decided to order there chicken from the restaurant menu.The bartender warned me that the chicken would be a wait for the cooks pan roast it on the bone and carve it to order.I was extatic when I heard this. The lines on the plate were incredible.The chicken was cooked so perfect, the skin crisp and salty and flavored with butter and some extra virgin olive oil. It was presented boneless in thy and airline breast. Literally the cleanist technique I've seen on a plate in Denver.The chicken was wrapped around a strudel of vegetables wich again the bartender could not tell me what was in it, but I tasted fresh peas, caramelized onions(not talking about an onion that got put on top of a griddle for five minutes) but sugary reduced sweet onions, and tomato.There were whole basil and mint leaves ontop of the plate that every couple bites I would accidentaly get one on my fork and it lit up all the flavors from the plate I was devouring.The only bad comment I have to make about this is it could of used more sauce.All in all I could not believe my whole experience. All the while I sat at the bar starring at an empty dinning room asking myself why???????
Terrible brunch; outrageous ripoff.
We got there in time for our 2 pm brunch reservation, and were informed that all they had was seating in the bar, which was dark, crowded, and invested with those tiny-ass cocktail tables. I'm a big dude, and I wasn't about to park my big ol' behind at one of those postage-stamp sized tables, so I told the hostess that, despite our having a reservation, we would wait for something to open up in the main dining room. This really seemed to fluster her for some reason, but twenty minutes later, we got seated at a more suitably-sized four-top in the main room.
Things went downhill from there, first finding out that champagne wasn't included, then, scoping out the fare, which was limited: Only one meat available at the carving board, lamb, which I dislike, and just a few entrees, no vegetables! Breakfast foods were limited to sausage/bacon, blintzes and an omelet station, no hashbrowns, waffles, etc. I will say the peel n' eat shrimp were monster, and about the only good thing there.
Desserts were junk, just a couple of cakes that looked like they'd been savaged by wild dogs, and some cupcakes with smiley-face frosting jobs. The waiter heard me comment about this to my wife, and, bless his heart, brought us a slice of cheesecake and some angel-food cake off the regular menu, the only positive spot in an otherwise dismal meal. I just about fell over from shock when we got the bill, and it was THIRTY-NINE DOLLARS apiece, plus $6 each for the Bloody Marys. Almost ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS for brunch, not including tip.
Spoke to the manager, and told him I thought the price was outrageous, and why. All he said was "I apologize". No offer to knock 20% off the bill, nothin'.
So that was the first and LAST time I'll be going to Randolph's. Look, I don't mind paying $25, maybe even $30 for a good brunch, but this was FAR from good, a downright ripoff, and I urge everyone to give this place a wide berth.
Great Food, Easy to get to and no crowd. I thought the food was excellent, so did my date. I have been eating all over town and there are only three restaurants that I will give 5 stars to. The food was excellent, the service was above average (they ended up not charging the corking fee when the manager offered to decant my wine and could not find a clean decanter). Overall, one of the best dining options in town. I recommend the tuna appetizer, it is the best tuna dish in town.
