Had a very disappointing visit to the Blake Street Tavern. We wanted to share our feedback with the manager and the waitresses got together and had one other girl from another section of the place pretend to be the manager. (We know the bald guy is the manager, by the way, we saw and talked with him earlier.) The service is slow even when there are hardly any people in the place. The food is horrible. The vegetables had holes in them and the cooking staff did not even try to remove the wilting parts or the black mold on the carrots. SO gross. In addition, the "Blake Street Tavern Nachos" had fake cheese underneath the 'real cheese' - so disgusting. NEVER GO THERE.

This is mostly a great place to eat, however service can be very bad during busy events. Came here to eat before an afternoon Rockies game and the service was very slow. However, most nights the food is good and service the same. If very busy during the day...you may want to look at other options in Lodo.

BAD SERVICE/MGR Staff... Went in for lunch and a couple drinks with friends and had a terrible experience. Unfriendly server, with an awful attitude, undoubtedly due to the bigger bald man who was waddleing around the place pointing fingers at an empty clean table and yelling with no regard for the patrons. The young hostesses looked like she was about to cry with tears in her eyes and the other girls had to console her. It made us and the other tables around very uncomfortable and decided to box up our lunch and head to walnut room. There seemed to be way too much drama and a lot of tension that made us very uncomfortable. skip this place!

nice place jerk off manager. We were enjoying our meals & a few drinks when this bald guy, who I later found out to be the manager, began belittling one of his female servers/hostesses. He was dropping f-bombs etc as he ranted, his little head turning red. Many customers witnessed this & for us it wasnt the first time we had seen him do it. He did it after a Rockies game a month or so ago. The place is very nice & the food ok, but we wont EVER go back. This man has a ego problem & absolutely 0 respect for his staff. He's lucky that girls' father wasnt around or ..................

Blake Street Tavern's New Location is Better than ever. I have been going to Blake Street Tavern for many years, and have recently been to their new spot (1 block away from the original) and it's even better than before! The service is good and the food is yummy -- I especially like the Buffalo Chicken wrap, and instead of fries, I get it with the salad, which is an exceptional side salad with mixed greens, tomatoes, onion and carrots (this isn't your typical iceberg salad!) - plus the homemade dressings are all very good. And the new location is nice, much bigger, yet still cozy, plus they have a great patio facing Coors field and the mountain range -- perfect for an evening cocktail. I highly recommend Blake Street for good good and a nice, cozy (or outdoor patio) atmosphere.

The New Blake Street Tavern. Let me tell you guys, the New Blake Street Tavern is awesome!! The owner, Chris and his talented staff spared no expense in rebuilding the old Poly Esters space into the coolest Sport Tavern in town! No wonder they win so many awards. The great mountain view patio faces Coors field (one block north of the field) and has the best mountain views. The food is delicious with specials from Chef Ernesto that will make you come back over and over again. GREAT party room, The Tailgate Room seats about 150 people, and there is a Board Room for a private party of 20 or so. When you walk in, the high vaulted ceilings, the large tables for groups of 8 or so...the cute staff and of course, all the major sports on HD TV's....will make you want to come back over and over again. What I like most...is that you feel like family at Blake Street Tavern.

Horrible environment. The same thing happened to us as the below reviewer, which was a manager was following a waitress around screaming at her. His bald head was red/purple with rage and, let me tell you, it was NOT a pretty sight. We felt bad for the staff, who seemed glum. I will take my business elsewhere next time, I don't want to give my money to a man who treats his staff like that.

Ps. They tried to seat us in the "tailgate room", a large empty concrete wearhouse that smelled like sewage and old beer, with cheap plastic tablecloths and filth everywhere. Unbelievable. Fortunately we resisted.

Terrible Experience. Although I had a great meal and awesome service, I couldn't recommend Blake Street Tavern. My experience a couple weeks ago was completely ruined when I witnessed a man--presumably a manager--treating his staff like f----ing dogs. I don't know how my server kept a smile on her face after this d-bag screamed at her and her co-workers in front of a bunch of customers. My wife and I were embarassed for everyone and quite frankly lost our appetite. Don't go here unless you want to witness verbal abuse.

Great food, better beer, awesome nachos. While the menu consists mostly of sandwiches and other bar fare, that's no reason to avoid the Blake Street Tavern. Situated in the up-and-coming "NoDo" area, they're next door to the former Flying Dog Brewery. From the Buffalo Chicken sandwich to the cheesesteak to the Prime Rib special, everything on the menu is worth eating.

Make sure to try the nachos; they are some of the best in Denver and the portions are just absurd -- bring friends.

The beer is also fantastic; mostly Flying Dog, though they offer some other fare. Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey is also available and everything is served by a friendly, knowledgeable bar staff that rivals some of the better places in Denver. They're worth getting to know.

The back rooms are also great and they manage to create a sports-bar-like atmosphere, without the douchebaggery, and still come off like a great neighborhood bar. If you're in the area, it's a great place to get a bite to eat.

Awesome food & drink after a Rockies game.. This is a great place to chill at after a Rockies game. The beer is great tasting, great for watching sports with their huge screens, and the staff is very nice.

They have great food such as their buffalo burger with garlic fries. You have to try their green chili fries. YUM!! They may not be a mexican eatery, but they make pretty good green chili. Why not check it out after a Rockies game.
