Well, just having moved here from Milwaukee, we know a thing or two of quality grilled cheese!. Being a Wisconsin "Native", my girlfriend and I made our way to Chedd's the first day we heard of it........I loved this place before we ever got there. We made it there about 7:30pm and were treated like we were walking in 20 min after closing. A grilled cheese does not take long to make and the place was not busy. It took almost 15 min to get the sandwiches, when we were then, pretty much told that we needed to get them to go! (if you want to close at 7:30, then close at 7:30, its a restaurant not a bank) Forced to eat them in the car, I have to say that they were delicious. The selection of breads, cheeses and meats are top notch. On a second return, the service was still not that friendly, it seemed we were causing the employee problems for having him do his job, but it could have been a couple of bad days.....either way, it was the same guy both times. No matter the service, this place is still awesome.....nothing like it even in Wisconsin! Not to mention a great way to get rid of all those old WI license plates all us yoopers have laying around! You guys have a great thing going, but a smile every now and then will make it a more enjoyable place.

Disgusting and dirty. I don't know if I will every get the memory out of my head of the horrible taste of the meal my wife and I had last night. The food was poorly prepared, the restraunt is filthy inside and the employees could care less. The "grilled cheese" was still cold in the middle and they even cut in half and could still see the unmelted slices of cheese.

We at Chedd's strive to provide the best possible service as possible (as many of the other reviews have noted). We don't take this feedback lightly. We believe we found and reviewed this persons order, the time it was placed, and we have addressed it with our staff.

Yummy, cheesy. Holy Grilled Cheese! So many choices, so many different varieties of breads, cheeses, and hot guys. You must dip it in the tomato bisque soup. It's amazing, you should buy me some.

Not that impressed. We didn't find the sandwich all that big-certainly not for $6.00. Also they show up as part of the"entertainment network", however the just show the card and get the discount doesn't work there--you need an additional coupon. The service was ok- but the sandwich was not particularly worth the trouble finding a place to park.

Best grilled cheese in town!. I saw the spotlight on this restaurant on a channel 2 news segment and decided to try it and it became my favorite restaurant. There are more choices on their online website than listed in the restaraunt so I recommend choosing before you go. My favorite is the "seeds & weeds" and their tomato basil bisque soup. Now I have my coworkers and friends all hooked on this place. It's also very kid friendly and is decorated with a Wisconsin and cheese theme. I can't tell you how much I love it!

Grilled Cheese with choices!. One of my hubby's favorite foods is Grilled Cheese, so when we heard of this fancy location serving only grilled cheese we had to go. The menu spanned more than 3 columns of a very large black board. You can go with pre-designed or make your own. You choose your bread, cheese, veggie options and meat options.

We arrived on a weekend so there was no line, and the un-initiated could flounder without stress. The staff knew we were newbies, but were polite enough to ask if this was our first time. We nodded yes, and were instructed on how it worked.

I went with a basic wheat, jalapeno cheese, and tomato. Hubby had wheat, habanero and bacon. Both were very yummy, next time I think I'll load up on the veggies.

The restaurant was VERY warm, not sure if this is a normal thing, but be prepared!

Choices, choices, choices. Who would have thought that a restaurant could make its name just from grilled cheese? These guys have done just that and have elevated one of the greatest comfort foods of all time to new heights in doing so. When it comes to choices, this place is the BeauJo's of grilled cheese. The options are nearly endless and the product is of the highest quality that The Dairy State has to offer. Forget the Packers, Chedds is the greatest thing Wisconsin has given the US after all their great cheeses. I am really looking foreward to their new shop in Lakewood.

Hot Sandwich Heaven. I loved that I could choose what I liked for my sandwich. If you don't want to figure out your own, they have named sandwiches too. My husband had the Reuben style one of those and said it was really good. I had Muenster, avacado and turkey. We enjoyed our lunch very much, as did everyone else around us including some small fry. The place was packed with a line almost out the door.

If you go during the week at lunch, be prepared not to get a table, or to wait for one. Maybe there will be seating outside once the weather warms up.

Sandwiches are really big, and I would have been satisfied eating a half of what I had, but oh well, since it was there I ate the whole thing!

Great sandwiches, cough, cough.. A favorite of childhood obsessed upon and turned into a Wisconsin-themed restaurant. I love the grilled cheese restaurant and go there whenever I can handle all the cheese.

But I do hope that theyll install a kitchen ventilation system. The windows and walls are covered with an oily film and the place smells like, well, burning cheesy sandwiches.
