Tips for Taigun Japanese Restaurant

Great lunch value, authentic and fresh. Taigun's location nearby a walmart and in the center of a busy mall shopping area isn't impressive, but stepping inside reveals a casual feng shui style feel that lets you forget the outside and leave your day behind for your lunch break. The lunch combo deals starting at $10 are worth a try and will certainly satisfy even the largest appetite. Miso, salad, a huge fresh sushi roll and a mountain of shrimp and vegetable tempura will ensure that you leave with a full and happy belly. The tempura was cooked to perfection, light and fluffy fried coating over warm perfectly cooked shrimp and veggies. My california roll was huge and fresh. The citris ginger salad dressing was tasty and a nice pairing with the miso.

Service was efficient, kind and attentive. Overall I would recommend taigun for the lunch crowd as its a really nice break in the day.

Fresh, exciting, & reasonably priced. Taigun is an asset to Broomfield. Having moved from Denver and the popular sushi restaurants downtown and around Cherry Creek, it is so refreshing to find a high-quality sushi restaurant in the suburbs. The rolls are amazing and inventive, the nigiri and sashimi portions are big for the price. I haven't tried the non-sushi Japanese fare, but why bother when the sushi is so tasty and affordable. For an urbanite recently turned suburban, this place really makes you feel like you can still get some excellent food without going back into the city.

It's OK, but I had better.. iso soup and salad were avarage. Tempura batter was very good, but the calamari inside was very chewy and taste bad, maybe it was old. They make the thinnest Pork katsu (cutlet) Ive ever had, I felt ripped off. I didnt appreciate they put sauce on top of it. I happen to not like this sauce very much; it was too sweet to my taste, and I want to control the condiments. It was OK, but I don't miss this place.

Super sushi. We love Taigun and go there as often as we can! Great service, great atmosphere, fresh sushi and very well prepared. Unique and different rolls, daily specials, great blue fin tuna! Quick service and very friendly staff. We love it!
