Good Japanese food, without having to drive to Denver. After hearing several ppl rave about this restaurant, we decided to check out "Parker's best restaurant." We started with the tuna tartar, which was very good, so I was excited about the rest of our meal. We ordered several rolls that were prepared very well and presented quite nicely. The tonkatsu my husband had was also very good. Now, I've only been to 3 restaurants in Parker, and although the food was very good at Junz, I'm surprised it's the best in Parker. The staff was friendly, but the service wasn't any better than any other restaurant we've been to. It was nice to have Jun himself greet us as we entered, and thank us as we left. But other than that, I didn't really see anything spectacular about this place. Maybe all the hype just made my expectations too high. But all in all, Junz is a great place for great Japanese food, and we'll definitely go back.
What a Gem.
What a great find! We meet Jun at his new shabu shabu place - it's excellent, but focused on only one style of cooking. He told us about his other establishment, Junz. It's the best Asian food we've had in Denver during the past 10 years!
The miso soup and salads are excellent. The sushi is served quickly and artfully. Be adventurous and try the yellowtail collar, rare ahi, and speciality rolls. The fresh wasabi was fantastic! We ordered mostly from the appetizer and salad lists, but will return to try the entres. Top notch service. The owners and staff aim to please. Limited, but reasonably priced wine list.
Unquestionably the best restaurant in Parker,. Absolutely the best restaurant in Parker, great food, comfortable and inviting decor, and the friendliest and most attentive service you could ever want. Do not miss Junz, in the vast wasteland of chain restaurants down here Junz is an incredible breath of fresh air, absolutely wonderful.
Great Sushi and Value. This is one of our favorite places to go. The sushi is great and priced very well. Get the "O Toro" (Fatty Tuna), it's one of the best and at a fantastic price. Also ask for the "Fresh" Wasabi (it's not paste), I dont know any other place around here that has it. The staff are great, they are helpful and on the money regarding recommendations.
Great Staff, Great Food. Junz is a once a week visit for my family, we all love it, and everything we try is absolutely delicious!!! We have also been there many times as a larger group, like 10-15 people, for birthday's, and the service is still just as good. They stay right on top of everything. When we go just a few of us though, we like to sit at the sushi bar. Jun, the owner is super nice, but there are also Dan, a host, Gumbo, a sushi cook, Jun's father, all of the staff there are super friendly. And you can take your entire family, sushi is not the only thing on the menu. Try their teryaki chicken, it is delicious!! For as good as the food tastes, the price is completly fair and reasonable. You don't know what you're missing if you haven't been to Junz before.
Everything about Junz is fantastic. The people are wonderful and the food even better!
I will not eat sushi anywhere else!! :)
Parker's BEST. Junz is a wonderful place to eat. Jun, the owner, is VERY nice. Not just sushi. Great atmosphere. Service is fabulous! A MUST TRY!!!
Junz' Rocks!!. I've been to Japan several times, and I think Junz' sushi is among the best I've ever tasted. If you don't mind driving to Parker, I'd tell you that you must try their Rock n' Roll. I know what you're saying, that's not sushi...that's an "americanized roll." Well, whatever it is, it rocks. Junz offers a fusion of japanese, american tastes with a french technique added. This is our favorite restaurant, and the Rainbow Roll is a must try as well.
This comfortable Japanese eatery offers an elegant option for Parker residents..
Owner Jun Makino's genuine smile and warm greeting create an instantly inviting atmosphere. Decor is tasteful, featuring Dijon-colored walls accented by elegant sea critter-like glass art. A sizeable sushi bar sits opposite the front door, while a smaller drinks-only bar skirts a side wall. The unassuming aura makes this eatery a pleasant spot for dates and family get-togethers alike.
Pleasingly arranged dishes characterize this mostly Japanese menu, with some French and good ol' American fare thrown in for color. Try the lightly fried gyoza carefully aligned on a banana leaf or teriyaki-flavored charbroiled chicken skewers. Unagi, cucumber, avocado and crab unite in the Junz roll, an appealing combo topped by electric orange and green fish eggs. The crunch roll features tempura in reverse: Tempura coats the exterior rice, instead of the interior shrimp. Creamy saffron risotto and delicate lobster bouillabaisse sauce perfectly complement the massive portion of broiled Chilean sea bass.
