Open sewer of a restaurant – Putrid, nauseatingly filthy kitchen area. Food tastes like licking a bar-b-q-grill. Wife ordered a chicken salad sandwich. Instead of warning her that they have had complaints earlier, the waiter goes ahead and lets her order it anyway and then later asks if it's okay. It wasn't! Inedible food, slow service, disinterested management are this places best qualities. I told manager there was no way I was paying for this slop and that if I get ill tomorrow, I'll know exactly why. Sure enough, next moring I have diarrhea. Thanks Johnny! If you have a choice between eating here and starving to death...choose death.
A neon-lit trip back to the Eisenhower era comes with burgers, shakes and fries. – In Short
Vintage Coca-Cola ads and posters of Life magazine covers succinctly summon up the 1950s, as do this diner's mini-jukeboxes, red vinyl counter stools and sock-hopping staff. Besides fast food staples like hot dogs, cheeseburgers, tuna melts and onion rings, options like the Streamliner (a grilled veggie patty) acknowledge more modern dietary concerns. Even better for kids, sandwiches come wrapped in paper jackets and nearly everything is served on paper plates. No spills. No breaks. No tears.
Run Away, Run Away – Regret walking in the door!! While service was mediocre at best, waiter was somewhat attentive, his support staff lacked customer service skills. I ordered burger with no tomatoes (due to severe allergy to fresh tomatoes) and burger showed up with more tomatoes than my wife's had on it. Did they want to see me swell up and croak? Also my son got a grill cheese with moldy bread but of course I didn't see it until he had 2 bites left. They gave us the grill cheese and 2 kids shakes for free. I manage a restaurant part-time and I would have written the whole check off for those issues. I had to ask them not to charge me for the grill cheese. I warned people walking in to turn around on my way out the door.
