If I could give negative stars I would. Signed a one year contract with them to find out it was actually a 2 year contract. Check out their BBB rating and you will find they just finished a settlement with the Attorney General for getting customers stuck in this contract. Nothing is negotiable. If you miss a payment, the monthly payment doubles. If you miss a payment within 30 days I had a friend that immediately got a call from collections. Young, rude staff and not worth it. Go somewhere locally owned that cares about the customer.
No wonder they are opening new stores. The service is great I quite enjoyed myself very relaxing and saw great color the first time. i will certainly go back..... best prices..great packages....
i called lowry ATB to get pricing on a month of tanning for my trip to cali next month and this guy was rude....told me i would have to come in because he was not allowed to discuss pricing over the phone...really? what? So you want me to come in to get your prices? wrong. I called Tranquility tanning and eventhough they are a little farther from where I live I will be going there instead! The girl from Tranquility was very nice and had NO problem giving me pricing over the phone, probably because they have NO contracts and arent trying to "rope" people into anything. Sorry ATB you guys are full of sh*t and you suck! I will NEVER do a monthly contract for tanning...that is ridiculous.
I had a card for a free spray tan that i recieved at the denver rock 'n roll marathon. i am just an occasional spray tanner and thought i'd see how i liked it for future reference. i've spray tanned at darque tan on a groupon and they were nice and explained things very well and the "tan" turned out pretty well but i thought i'd try it here and if it looked better/was easier/nicer whatever then i'd have a new place to go. the young man working when i went in was nice enough initially and hit me pretty hard and fast on the whole "sell". he tried to get me to sign up for a membership immediately and once he realized that i was only interested in the one free spray things changed pretty quickly. he became quite brisk and borderline rude. next stop- lotions and excellerators. he was quite pushy. i told him i wasn't going to buy anything and he told me i wasn't going to be happy with my tan if i didn't. really? because i've been satisfied in the past and never used them. i am an esthetician and i'm familiar with how dha works so no need to try and confuse me with your generic speak about skin ph etc. there was no further pleasantries or instruction from that point on. at one point i even told him not to be mad! i was sent back on my own. it's a shame because i liked the machine itself and how even the color seemed to go on and how dry i felt afterwards. hopefully he didn't adjust the machine to some weird extra color or no color to get back at me! lol. poor guy actually got pouty. even if the tan looks good i won't go back due to the pushy nature and hard sell business model.
BEWARE – They are very rude and scam you out of your money. Do not give them the satisfaction of joining their membership and taking all of your money. This site says it all... atthebeachsucks
HORRIBLE customer service, deceiving and a total rip off – I hope that this deters and discourages anyone to get a membership here. If this gets to a manager or someone that actually cares about the customers that provide ATB employees a job I would be shocked.
The customer service when calling into their company is extraordinarily rude, unhelpful and I have never had anyone argue with me or leave me on hold for as long as their agent did and when he finally transferred me to a manager I GOT HER VOICEMAIL. Is that really any way to treat someone who has been a customer?? I think not. All I needed to do was to try to suspend my account for an additional month and all the agent did was say that it was probably not going to go through. I tried to explain that the charges wouldn't go through anyway because my credit card information had changed.
I went to the store on Broadway and 6th TWICE to get this taken care of and finally they told me was that they couldn't do it and I would need to call the customer service line. I am currently sitting on hold and have been for over 20 minutes after calling back to get this issue resolved.
I am not certain WHY this company would not educate their staff and certainly ALL of their customer service agents on a membership freeze and let the member know that they cannot freeze their accounts on a monthly basis.
The ATB employee was very helpful – I tan every week. I get good service and love the beds. I do both the beds and the sray. The spray really works well. It makes it really easy. I can be tan in a few minutes.
