Great Grooming of Terriers.
Laura has been grooming my Cairn terrier for about 3 years. Scout is a former show dog whose breeder taught me how important it is for terriers to keep their hard coats through stripping (not doing
so can lead to skin problems, as a hard coat protects sensitive skin, for one). I learned enough about stripping from the breeder to know just how hard it is. Traditional grooming (shaving, cutting, washing, drying) is not at all the right thing for a hard coated dog and it's really hard to find people who understand stripping.
Even with a table, my own stripping knives, and some instruction, I could never get Scout to look just right and he was reluctant to have me strip his the fur around his ears and shape other, more tender areas. Enter Laura, who makes Scout look terrific, has great advice for me between groomings about coat care, and is conveniently located in Central Denver. Even better, Scout *loves* going to Laura. I'm not sure what magic she works, but Laura can clip Scout's nails, strip his fur, and all kind of things he doesn't like me to do, and he looks great and is always happy to go back. I was thrilled to find Haute Dog here a few years ago and have kept coming back.…
Kindest Groomer in Denver. Haute Dog Grooming; is by far the best dog grooming establishment, I have had an opportunity to with. The business owner, truely cares for each pet. She carefully schedules appointments, to allow for individual pet/owner interaction time, both prior to and after grooming. Dogs are not caged, after grooming, they are allowed to play in the in the waiting area or out in the back yard. Each pet has their own time with the groomer and not grouped together,(no assembly line). The business owner, is also the groomer, she listens to the pet owner about the grooming style for the owners pet. So, instead of getting what the goomer think's is the standard style for your bread, you get the character of your dog. This is a wonderful place to take you dog! GREAT EXPREINCE!…
