Not Impressed. first time to the Javier's, read many great articles in the Denver Post. Staff was friendly, cafe was clean. Other than that, really let down. Only 1 person cooking, very slow to get food out. Ordered a couple cheeseburgers, waited 27 mins than finally asked for food to go when it was ready. Burger's were over cooked, probably because there was only 1 cook. Buns fell apart. Ordered onion rings as a side, they provided 4 rings. $7.00 for the a double cheeseburger and 3 rings. For that quality and price, I would definitely goes elsewhere. Either swifts or the cricket.
Javier's is the best. Javier & C Diner is a great place to get a homemade breakfast when you don't want to make one at home. A smiling and efficient waitstaff serves up heaping plates of omelets, breakfast burritos and other great dishes. I had the Mexican omelet which was a huge omelet that enveloped cheese, nopales (cactus) and green chiles, all smothered in a luxurious green chile. My companion had the bacon burrito which was a burrito with eggs, bacon and thick slices of avocado topped with melted cheese and green chile. Both dishes came with Javiers' great home fries which are light and fluffy with just a bit of crunch. Our coffee cups and water glasses were always full and Javier himself came over to make sure we were happy with our breakfast. This is the best way to start your Sunday afternoon with a full stomach!
Unstoppable breakfast AND service. What do I look for in a breakfast joint? Great food, quick refills on my coffee, a newspaper within reach, some atmosphere, good location, and, yes--damn good service. Javier & C throws it all down for you and then some. After eating here, you'll quickly jump off the Pete's Kitchen bandwagon and come for some REAL breakfast. No snobbery here, just one of the friendliest guys you'll ever meet (Javier, the owner) serving you up the breakfast dreams are made of. I recommend the deluxe breakfast burrito or the chicken fried steak. And the hashbrowns are buttery and wonderful. Top it off with some good conversation from Javier himself, and you'll leave fat and happy. Listen up, Denver. There's a new Breakfast King in town: Javier & C Diner.
Best Diner in Denver!!. First of all, the Deluxe Breakfast burrito is incredible. Ham, bacon, sausage, gyro meat, potatoes, eggs, cheese and green chile.....you won't find another one like this in town. Denver Diner, Tom's Diner, and Pete's Kitchen have nothing on Javier and C's other than a much longer wait for breakfast and food that isn't as good. The best part about this place is the owner himself, Javier. Incredibly nice guy who will sit and visit with you at breakfast and who remembers my name when I come in to eat. Service and food like that will keep me coming back forever.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Popular Berkeley Park breakfast spot serves up daily specials, bulging egg-laden burritos, omelets, and skillets to neighborhood regulars.
Great Mexican Breakfast and Green Chili. I am a critic when it comes to green chili. Javier (spelled right unlike on Citysearch) makes his chili full of flavor and with a kick. The Mass Confusion skillet combines everything but the kitchen sink with eggs and chili on top. Big thick slabs of bacon. A great friendly environment that combines excellent mexican dishes with meditteranian dishes cook generally by Javier himself. We are regulars and feel right at home when entering this diner.
