Best Vegetarian Chinese Food!. This is the best Chinese food on Colfax! I really like that they offer most (is not all, they seem willing to cook up anything for you) of their dishes with vegetarian meat. I had vegetarian beef with broccoli, and it was supper good. Just like beef, and low in cholesterol. My wife got the chicken lettuce wraps and she loved them. The sauce was tangy and authentic (I had to try a little of her's too :) ) And we got it all at a really great price. Also, our waitress was really nice. I think we met the owner too. Anyway, give this place a shot. Good stuff.

I don't know if their website is on here so I'll post it here:

-thanks!

Poor Customer Service, Disgusting food. I ordered from Sidewok Cafe last Saturday for delivery. I ordered Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Sesame Chicken with side of Wonton Soup. After waiting over an hour, I called to ask about my delivery. The lady who answered said the delivery guy left a long time ago so he should be here very soon.... No apologies- nothing.

So I wait another 15 minutes and then get a call from delivery guy asking if I live near 6th ave. frontage road.... I told him I live on 16th pl. He informed me that he read the address wrong... umm okay. Still waiting.

He showed up with my food ten minutes later and to his credit, he did apologize.

When I opened my food, of course- everything was luke warm - including the soup. The sesame chicken was soggy and HERE'S the WORST PART: The chicken lettuce wraps were comprised of chicken, canned carrots, canned peas and KETCHUP! OMG ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I bagged it all back up and opted to eat the only thing I had in my house-Top Ramen.

I called to ask about a refund for the inedible food and all the lady would say is, "well thats how some people like them." She told me her boss would be in later and that I could speak with him. Upon speaking with him, he said he wouldn't refund the lettuce wraps just because I didn't like them, but that he would refund the Sesame chicken because it was cold.

I told him that all the food was cold including the disgusting lettuce wraps, but he would only refund the sesame chicken.

All told, after my refund, I was out $10 even though I returned ALL of the food and ate Ramen for lunch and the owner clearly didn't give a crap at all.

bad, better, relapse. First ate here almost 3 years ago, it was terrible. Tried it again about 6 months ago. Much improved!!! Tried it again tonight. *sigh* back to crappy. Long wait for carry-out, while one employee tried to man everything front of the house.

Ordered:

sesame chicken, breading was gummy, chicken was low quality.

Sweet and Sour pork, pork was low quality and extreme fatty.

Very good, prompt & hot delivery. As both negative reviews here were written over two years ago, I must believe the restaurant is under new ownership. Or the reviewers were having bad days. The Royal Chicken was a delicious blend of subtle & complementary flavors, and unlike the one reviewer's experience, my chicken dish had Plenty of chicken in it, as well as plenty of vegetables. The vegetable dumplings were delicious and served on top fresh shredded cabbage. The won ton soup was excellent, hot, with large won tons and large pieces of fresh sliced carrot and zucchini slightly cooked rather than minced frozen peas and carrots found in a lot of won tons. And while not exactly Chinese, the buffalo wings that I ordered were hot and had flavorful sauce more sweet than spicy.

And all this was Delivered Hot in a surprisingly timely , not brought to the table cold as in the one reviewer's unfortunate experience. It won't be the last time I order from Sidewok Cafe.
