Lack of professionalism.

I have made an appointment 3 days in advance, then I get a call from them saying that they need to change it with a different "stylist" and different time to accomodate with them I asked my husband if He could come a little early from work , with traffic he was running 5 mins late so that will make me be running 10 mins late for my appointment, when I call them to let them know my situation trying to be polite, their answer was.. No we can not take you as it is we were juggling to have you come in. Excuse me??? , and they can not wait 10 mins when I made arrangements to be there ealier than my original time??? . Well maybe it was divine intervention if I go by the reviews am happy I did not go.

Unethical business practices!. I will never shop at Ulta again! I went in a few months ago to buy cosmetics and was offered free issues to INStyle magazine. I know about the scam where they automatically charge your card for a subscription (and I hate the magazine anyway), so I declined the free issues. Against my will, they forwarded my credit card information to the magazine company and authorized them to charge it. This is a scam and is illegal! You can count on the fact that if you use a credit card in that store, they have the ability to give the info out to another company and charge on it.
Terrible customer "service". I don't think they understand basic customer service - I had a dreadful experience and would never go back.

Bad Hair Service. Carlos was my stylist and he was still with a client when I arrived on time for my appointment. I waited 30 min. to be greeted. I just wanted my highlights retouched and a haircut. Carlos recommended a very nice color palate for my highlights. But instead of weaving them in like they are traditionally done he decided to use a different method, without asking me. My highlights had just been done 6 weeks prior, so they needed to be touched up at the roots. Carlos sectioned off the crown of my head and instead of weaving in blond he made sections of hair that went all the way across my scalp horizontally. So now I have literally stripes, instead of highlighted pieces. I would have looked better walking around with 1 inch roots than with a clown hat like I have now. Another thing that I disliked was that Carlos pulled my hair a lot! When the color was processing he decided to go get some lunch! Then he up charged me just for using a flat iron to style it. This was all without telling me until he rang me up at the end. I had the same services 6 weeks earlier at the same salon and the cost was $125.00 without tip. Then with Carlos somehow it cost $155.00 without tip. At comparable prices to the nice salons I expect great service. But I would have gotten better service at Fantastic Sams. Horrible!
