Denver >Beta Nightclub
This club is garbage.
Too many snobby.
This club is garbage.
Too many snobby people and the security simply doesn't know what they're doing. The place is for wannabe high class slobs. A kindergarden class could do a better job of running/ organizing a business than the worthless wankers they have working as of January 20th at Beta Nightclub.
Not to mention all the security members are ALWAYS getting in your way while ignorantly cutting you off and giving you a childlike attitude if you don't step out of their way.
OH...and be warned: (if you decide to waste your $25.00 at Beta) DON'T GO ALONE. You will more than likely be escorted out of the club for being antisocial and accused of being entirely too intoxicated.
Dancers/Shufflers: This club is not at all intended for dancing since the floors at this particular club are everything but tolerable. It'll be a rare occasion to find a spot where your feet aren't stuck to the floor due to the lack of sanitation.
This club doesn't at all carry a happy/friendly dance floor. There are mostly mindless drunks aimlessly bombarding through the highest populated areas of the venue and you will mostly likely see the intermittent out of control ego flipping clubber calling everyone out trying to start a fight. The club is much too small and is always running a muggy 80 degree interior. Especially the beatport lounge upstairs (that place is an oven). So be sure to bring a full wallet, waters are $3.00..
Watch out* Don't walk by the security with any kind of alcoholic drink if you are underage (even outside the venue) they'll push and push and wont stop until they get a whiff of whatever your sipping.
Don't bring anything that glows since these club toys aren't allowed and will be thrown away by security at the door. Tiesto was hit by a glow stick while he was DJing at Beta in the past so instead of simply installing a thin layer of plexiglass to separate the DJ booth from the crowd they decided to ruin the fun for all by banning everything that glows...
I'de feel better giving my $25 to one of the many beggars that I'm always greeted by upon exiting the club than to feed this sad excuse for a dance club.
Super Secret DJ always a hit. Super Secret DJ is Beta's best event. Each year a world-class DJ spins, and you get in for a mere $12. The drinks are $$, but it's a bar. The energy can sometimes get a little out of hand, depending on the artist and the vibe of the crowd, but usually Beta has a pretty decent feel.
Is this discrimination?!?!.
So...this past Thursday we decided to go to Beta Nightclub, with a couple of my friends, It was 18+ night. They asked for my ID so i showed them my ID. (My Mexican Identification Card, because of course I'm from Mexico, Duh) but anyways this ID is 100% Vaild!
So my friends got let in to the club, but they didnt let me in. they told me that they needed to see my passport to let me in! Now, I'm wondering why?!?! I had never had a problem getting into places, with this ID. I would understand, if my card was Fake! but come on! Just wanted to know why this happend!
Rise nightclub is now Beta Nightclub.
In 2008 Rise was sold and Beta was born. After a 3 million dollar renovation Beta was ranked as the #1 Club and Best new Club in the US - DJ Mag '08
Featuring the only 4 speaker stack Dance array sound system in the US. Rated as the #1 sound system in the US.
Hosting the top DJs in the world on a regular basis.
Had to check out the club voted #1 dance club by westword. My girlfriends and I were looking to have a girls night out where we could dance the night away! One of my friends wanted to check out Beta since it had been voted #1 dance club in Denver by westword and since we wanted to dance figured it was a sign! It was quick to get inside and we didn't have to pay a cover since it turns out on Fridays girls are free! Nice surprise for us. We were amazed at how spacious the dance floor was and didn't have to fight for a place to get down unless we were trying to get get on the raised dance floor which was crowded since everyone wants to get noticed. We were also pleasantly surprised to find out there was a second room upstairs playing different music. One of the girls likes techno more than top 40 so we spent some time upstairs for her as well and everyone was happy. The sound system was crazy good and we were treated well by the bar staff. All in all this girls night turned out to be one of the best we have had in a long time and we will be back sooner rather than later! Thanks Beta!!!!
Best Night Club in Lodo. Overall the best nightclub in lodo. Clean, good music and nice staff make for a great night. Great place to reserve your private area for a b-day party. Can't wait to go back!
tired already. THIS IS NOT FLORIDA, THIS IS DENVER! It is very old when clubs try to be something they're not. Get some b-boys, and poppers in there again. Not everyone in Denver is impressed with this whole go-go dancer thing. I am impressed when I see someone who can actually rip up the dance floor. other than that I would say that it still is worth going to check out the club for yourself, it has a pretty cool look to it and definitely has alot of potential to be the best club in Denver, but to me the best club in denver is the snakepit on saturdays because it is just about the music and has no dress code, and is very well priced. So What was the best thing this club had going for it.
Get down--or don't--at this funky LoDo hot spot..
Pausing next to the dance floor of this multi-themed club is normal, as first-timers need to soak in the scene. Downstairs, scantily clad go-go dancers with KISS-style makeup gyrate wildly on blocks amid mainstream folks with Bill Cosby-like moves. Meanwhile, platinum-haired waitresses in skintight silver wear serve cocktails against a backdrop of trippy kaleidoscope images. Upstairs, a reservation-only VIP area and a tranquil "shadow lounge" provide refuge, as does an outdoor, palm-lined patio.
Cutting-edge DJs set the mood here. Different nights mean different music, including deep house, funk, Latin and Top 40 electric remixes, while entertainment ranges from the standard go-go girl to Chinese pole dancers. Whether visitors seek to mix it up on the dance floor, spy down on the entertainment, or peacefully sip champagne among fellow scenesters, the contemporary, well-planned design allows for it all.
meh. well after trolling through lodo for a while i stopped into Rise... very much a miami vibe and miami prices.. but very cute girls were every where.. drinks were a bit over priced.. but the size of the club was enormous... hands down best upscale club in lodo...
no more 1909 Blake Street curse!. Rise, while a bit on the expensive side, is the best club in Lodo, hands down. You'll find excellent drink service, a great party atmosphere and great DJs. Their weekly events are also something to see. I still can't figure out the palm trees on the patio. If Aspens or Evergreens aren't seen in Miami, why should we see palm trees here in Denver? Other than that, Rise has a bright future here and these guys know what they're doing when it comes to keeping people coming back.
