A seven-story, Tyrolian-looking hotel at the base of Vail Mountain..
The Scene
With its mountain architecture, this hotel would be right at home in the Swiss Alps. It is located just 150 yards from Vail Mountain's ultra-fast Eagle-Bahn Gondola, and it bustles with avid skiers throughout the winter months. During the summer, folks come here for golf, kayaking, mountain biking, fly fishing and four-wheeling--all of which can be found within two miles.
The Details
Each of the comfortable guest rooms and spacious suites feature a two-line speaker phone with voice mail and data ports, cable and satellite TV, movies, coffee service, refrigerator and bathrobes. The most desirable have full kitchens, gas fireplaces and mountain views. Numerous basic services include weekday newspaper delivery, valet laundry and a Laundromat. Among the recreational facilities are indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, and the European-style Golden Leaf Spa.
