Horrible. Do yourself a favor—skip it.
Bought a coupon right off their website for a cut and all over color, came in and waited for 30 minutes while they did everything they could to charge me more than the coupon price. The manager condescendingly told me I needed to "tell them about the coupon when I scheduled" (I had), to "read the fine print" (I did), and to "bring in a print voucher" (it says right on the voucher that a phone display is fine).
First they said the color only included root touch ups (all over color...right) then they amended that to say my hair was too long so they needed to charge extra (I asked them what they defined as "extremely long hair"--anything below the chin. Seriously??) so instead of paying $100 for what should have been $60, I asked for a refund. Which it "was not it her power to give." So now I am disputing the charge with my bank. Both the stylist and the manager were extremely unsympathetic, unhelpful, and unfriendly. I ignored the bad reviews before I went. Don't make that mistake. They don't deserve your business!
My daughter wanted to get a cut and color from this salon. She went and paid $130 and was not happy with it, so they told her to come back the next week and they would fix it for free. Free means $120 I guess, because that's what they charged her for the second time when she returned. Her hair a week later is so brassy it's almost orange. I wish I knew who the stylist was so I could give out her name but my daughter knew I would call the place and wouldn't give it to me as she didn't want to be embarrassed. So they took a 19 year old for $250 and gave her a bad color/highlight job. Very bad business...so now all her friends are asking where she got her hair done so that they don't go to the same place...Good way to lose business in Arvada, Aveda!
Kari is AMAZING.
I have always been super picky about who cuts/colors my hair because it's really thick and super curly. Finding someone who can cut curly hair is like a diamond in the rough...Kari is that diamond. She always does a beautiful job, she is extremely mindful of your wants and upholds the Aveda standards. I love her and she has a client for life!

The haircut was great the products I bought even better. The manager is all I have to complain about.
I would like a letter from the company explaining why an immature 18 year old boy is managing the front of the store. One, he did not know what he was doing, obviously made a mistake with my appointment but instead of apologizing he attempted to cover it up and blame it on the stylist which made things awkward. He answered personal calls and made inappropriate comments about other guest when he thought I could not hear him. The owner of this store needs to take a better look at who he hires. Very Unprofessional.

Wife was very pleased with her cut (thanks Kari), that's a 5-star to me, and I appreciated the professional skills & personal kindness from the staff.
That being said, I had a spa treatment, it went well.

I always feel relaxed and beautiful once Kari has "taken care of" me. She is gentle, kind, and very skilled at what she does. My "locks" are independent--wanting to "do their own thing". Kari "takes control" of them, & I leave feeling as though I am "put together".
It is well worth it to travel a bit to Arvada for Kari's attention. I highly recommend her.

Horrible customer service. I have been to the salon a few times- once I came home and had to cut a hanging chunk off the front of my hair cut after getting home. I went back after that since the girl who did my hair at that time was so sweet so just overlooked it as a bad day. My latest experience was to go for the clean water fundraiser. I went in and was told it would be 10 mins. 45 mins later I asked how much longer it would be and was assured it should just be another 10 mins since I was up next. Apparenetly, the couldn't figure out how to track four customers at a time and took someone who had come in after me as the next person. I told them I would just go somewhere else. So, as a consulation prize, they gave me a free chair massage from Shauntel who was chewing gum and moving the adjacent door for someone else during the 'treatment", (which was a not so great massage, even as a freebie). She then told me it should be about ten MORE minutes (are you getting the theme yet that 10 mins is a standard line???) since a new girl had just arrived. Someone else came in and had a stylist come to talk with her and off she went so not sure if this was the new person or not. After waiting an hour and 15 mins, I finally left without saying anything further. I will never go back to this so called Salon again. The prices were increased by $5 per service a little over a month ago so $30 for a stylist with the skills of Super Cuts The lack of customer service has put me over the edge. However, if you are just going for the tea, it is great!
Worst Facial I have had. I scheduled a facial and was informed I would have a person named Pomila. She was pleasant and courteous. However, in clearing out blackheads she made my nose red which lasted for 3 days and she bruised the side of my head by my temple. This is actually painful to the touch. I have never had this happen in the past with a facial. I won't go back there. If you go for a facial and a green science peel you won't notice that it made any kind of difference.
