To the posting below me...oh no, you are so wrong. I have experienced this same kind of behavior and unprofessionalism from the manager at this salon. The negative reviews are so very true.
Ok haircuts, but rediculously rude people.
All 1 star reviews are fake.
First off let me start by saying I have had over 1 year of good haircuts from multiple stylists as Von Ya's. They have always been friendly and remember me and what I want.
I get tired of seeing this happen time and time again on sites like Yelp and Citysearch. Someone decided to review bomb this salon with multiple accounts. Notice how all of the one star reviews have no reviews of any other businesses? Notice how they all sounds the same talking about a 'rude manager' and how there was 3 reviews, each one day apart from the other? Yeah... someone has some weird vendetta against this place probably because they got fired.
Don't let the fake reviews fool you, give this place a try. My only complaint is it is a little pricey.
A great haircut.
This was one of the best haircuts I've ever received. I called for an appointment at 9am with any available stylist, and saw Taylor at 11:15am. Usually, my hair cuts take 10 minutes, and I leave unsure of whether or not I like the result. My experience with Taylor was great because she asked for feedback about each part of the cut, making sure it was exactly what I wanted. I never felt rushed, which was important because I had 9 inches cut off my hair. She was extremely friendly as well. I left with a meticulously done haircut I was immediately happy with. A $60+ experience for $25.
I'm not sure whether the other positive reviews were written by staff, since the comments here are so polarized. After I came back and saw the negative reviews, I wanted to add my experience since usually people with complaints are more motivated to write than people who had good experiences. I thought to even out the numbers a little. I'm glad I tried Von Ya's out and will definitely go back again.
Skilled stylists, great atmosphere.
Obviously things have changed for the better. I started going here in spring 2009 and have been getting great cuts and a nice, relaxing, pleasant experience. My stylist (Alyssa) is fabulous, and I've also always observed the other stylists to be professional and their clients look good to me! The prices are fair--not overinflated.
PS I'm a real client--not related at all to the staff or management.
Bogus reviews written by staff members!. I fully agree with Megan Carusso's review below. It is very obvious that any positive reviews written about Vonya's were written by staff, management, and/or owners. It's so obvious because they try to cover up the TRUE/REAL reviews by talking about exactly what the negative comments are, and believe me, there are plenty of negtatives here. I went to Vonya's only once, without an appointment, and only because I could not get an appointment the better/more popular salon in Littleton. First and last mistake. Beauty is very important to any woman, and I certainly did not feel beautiful when I left. "Amateur staff and management " is putting it lightly!!
Best salon in town. This was by far the best haircut I have ever had! I was really impressed with the quality of education of the stylist .My stylist explained to me that they can personalize each persons hair color so I will be returning soon for color. My stylist sent me a thank you letter after my appointment which made me feel really special. Thank You all at Von Ya's. I will send everyone I know there!
Best Salon in the Littleton Area. This salon made me feel so welcomed and important from the moment I walked in the door. There are new very professional and very well trained stylists who listened to exactly what I was asking for. You can tell that the new owner is making some amazing changes and this salon is going to be very successful and I am recommending it to all of my friends. I highly recommend Von Ya's!!!!
Great service!!!! under new management. Wow!!! This is my new salon.THe staff was wonderful from the minute i entered the door the staff was terrific, the quality of the service was great. I enjoyed every minute with (Sarah) my stylist. not to mention the quality of my hair service was amazing (i have paid more at so called higher end salons and this was far beyond my expectations) They are under new owners and i am glad to see she is working with both client's and staff. I recommend everyone in littleton give them a try!
You'll be sorry!. I recently decided to change my hairsytle and made an appointment at Vonya's. That was my first mistake! After being treated very rudely and unprofessionally by the manager at the front desk when I checked in, I waited for 15 minutes after my appointment was scheduled for, apparently because my stylist was outside smoking. When she finally sat me down in her chair, she reeked of cigarettes and looked like she had just gotten out of bed. That was my first clue that this was not going to be a pleasant experience, and to make a long story short, it definately was NOT. After telling her exactly what I expected to look like when I left and how I wanted my hair cut, she obviously decided that she did not want to cut it that way, and I walked out with a completely different look...A REALLY HORRIBLE CUT AND A REALLY HORRIBLE LOOK! And with damp hair to boot! It will now take me months to grow out her unprofessional cut. An Aveda Salon? Are you kidding me? No thanks Vonya's, never again. The staff is lazy, rude and extremely unprofessional. I would have been better off at Floyd's!
Don't waste your time or money here!!!. I recently moved into the Littleton area, and decided to try a new hairdo. To make a very painful and long story short, I made the mistake of wasting my time and money at Vonya's. Absolutely the worst salon experience I have ever had. The manager at the front desk was rude...not sure who she thinks she is, but she definately is NOT! Stylists reek of cigarettes and could care less about what the CLIENT wants, just cut whatever style they know how to, which as it turns out, is not much! I walked out wishing I had gone to Fantastic Sams or somewhere where the stylist are eager to learn and to make money. Vonya's staff is arrogant and very unprofessional. Thanks for nothing, Vonya's.
