yum!. Ordered takeout yesterday - saag paneer, chicken tikka masala and lamb vindaloo, as well as raita and garlic naan. And it was all very good! Its as simple as that.
Horrible Service. I went to the Little India restaurant with a friend today. The waitress offered us a table for two, which was too small for us to eat on and so my friend requested for a bigger table. The waitress turned down our request and so we ended up sitting at the bar. Soon after two people walked in and they were given a bigger table, which we had been denied. In addition, my friend had ordered some water, which he didn't receive. He had to personally get his water from the person at the bar who kept giving us nasty looks. I think that this was horrible service and an overall horrible experience. The cheap prices are not worth the bad service.
Terrible service, good Indian food. There's always been good service and food at the one off Downing, so we thought we'd try the downtown location. I've got to be honest, it was really disappointing. The service was absolutely terrible - the worst I've had in years actually. We made reservations just in case and ended up standing there for about 10-15 minutes until someone hurried us off to the worst table in the restaurant. We were in everyone's way and the server completely forgot or was too busy to ask for drinks, so eventually, the bar just seemed more appealing. The people were not very pleasant, and I think they were just really short staffed; the food took 45 minutes to arrive and the bill also took a while. The overall experience was bad and sadly, the only good thing was the food. I won't ever return here for the dining experience... maybe just take-out.
Great lunch buffet. We went here this past Saturday for lunch with some friends and it was fantastic. The buffet had a lot of different items and I was really impressed with the variety of flavors for such a great price!
Best Indian food in town - great lunch buffet!.
I highly recommend taking advantage of their incredible lunch buffet. The main dishes are always different and it's always good. Their apetizers are wonderful too! Dinner can be a little pricey, but it's well worth it.
The only down side is that the salad bar is minimal and low quality veggies. I'd like to see them improve the lettuce and offer a better variety of salad components.
Tasty Indian Dishes in a Trendy Downtown Atmosphere.
Beautiful lush interiors and the fabulous scent of luxurious traditional indian spices greet you as you enter Little India. The kind greeting and quick seating are a plus too. Little India offers what most indian restaurants offer: korma, vindaloo, curries and other traditional indian dishes. I highly recommend the lamb dishes for a tender tasty alternate. Everything we had was enjoyable and tasty. I only wish the prices were a little bit cheaper for the portion sizes.
They also offer more reasonably priced buffets which are a great way to try new flavors on a budget and a takeout option which is nice if you need it.
Great lunch buffet. I come for their lunch buffet several times a month. If you get there before noon, there's no wait for a table. The buffet has a decent selection, and the food on the buffet is excellent. Since it's buffet style, you can get in and out in well under an hour. Service is good--they're pretty prompt in taking away empty plates. The curry chicken, tofu saag, and rice pudding are my favorites on the buffet. They used to sometimes serve chicken tikki masala but I haven't seen it on the buffet in a long time. They've recently remodeled the place--it looks much nicer, but I don't know that they were able to fit in any additional tables. My only real complaint about this place is that whenever I order a diet coke, it doesn't taste like a real diet coke, so I think they substitute generic beverages without disclosing that to the customer. I haven't ever been here for dinner, but I imagine the restaurant is not too busy for dinner hour, based on its location.
Little India on CHAMPA is the BEST!!. This is now my favorite joint to eat. When I discovered that Little India had opened a 2nd location in downtown, close to my home & work, I was thrilled yet a little skeptical. I wanted to make sure this one as good as the 6th ave. location and these guys not only met my expectations, they surpassed them. The service and ambience are extra-ordinare and the food is to die for. I can smell the tandoor (clay oven) way over on Arapahoe st. walking home from work. There is no equal to this chicken tikka masala and I've eaten in a lot of indian restaurant around the world. The Lunch Buffet is awesome and very inexpensive...no wonder these guys pack it in...I think I was there 3 times last week but shhh!, don't tell anyone.
