Don't waste your time.. So, of all of the sandwich places in Capitol Hill (hardly any) this place really takes advantage of the local eater. They obviously coast on the fact that there are only a few sandwich places to choose from and it's a shame that this one isn't owned by someone who has the decency to serve the neighborhood quality food. The ingredients are obviously second rate, and the service was piss-poor. I appreciate their "family" approach, however if anyone were to open a sandwich shop nearby, Earls would be out-shined in an instant. Furthermore, I don't appreciate the attitude given by the staff. Over priced for sure. To sum it up, don't waste your time, walk the extra block to Colfax.  View Less View More

OK Ingredients, so-so service. The Earl of Sandwich has an OK variety of sandwiches with slightly above average quality of ingredients at reasonable prices. They are local which is always a huge plus for me. I used to frequent this shop because I worked nearby. My reason for posting a review is that they almost always made mistakes with my orders and the last time was the last straw. I picked up a picnic lunch for my family and every item in the order was made incorrectly. Not things like forgot mayo or pickles etc. Mistakes like wrong meats, wrong veggies. I called afterwards and they offered one free sandwich in return for the three they screwed up. That was good enough and I came by a week or so later for my free sandwich. I left a tip and took my sandwich back to work. You would think they would pay a little extra attention since this was compensation for a mistake, not so. WRONG ORDER AGAIN. I called back explaining that I didn't have time to come back by so they could fix it and said I would remain a customer if they would just remember me next time and make it up to me with another sandwich. I was a little stunned when the guy on the phone told me that they "couldn't just keep giving me free sandwiches". (by this time I had purchased at least 20 lunches from these guys not including guests who had joined me for lunch several times). I informed him that I wasn't interested in free sandwiches and that I was more than happy to pay for sandwiches if they were prepared correctly. Apparently this didn't mean much to these guys, because they tried to brush me off with a free cookie, so I took the "free" sandwich and tossed it on their front steps. Avoid this place unless you are dinning in.  View Less View More

Absolutely the Freshest. Marvin consistently serves the freshest sandwiches and salads in Denver and the desserts are unbelievable! The creative menu has a sandwich for everyone, the prices are reasonable and the service is always fast and with a smile. Marvin and his crew still know something about custormer service. I have never had a problem finding parking or waited more than just a few minutes for a sandwich made just for me. I like to spend the few minutes I'm waiting looking at the local art that fill the walls. A must go to place for out of town guests!  View Less View More

Great sandwich, great service. Great date place.. If you're looking for a good date place...this is it. If you're looking for a great sandwich, this is it. This nice neighborhood sandwich shop is one of the best in Denver. It's got a cool feel to it, as well as a friendly staff. The sandwiches are big, and the price is very reasonable. Overall, it's a great value and a good addition to the neighborhood.  View Less View More
