We have now purchased our second vehicle from Dave and would not go anywhere else even though we had the choice. Dave is great if we were going to be late we just let him know and kept our payment arrangement and never had a problem. We love buying from him and would suggest the dealership to anyone that needs a vehicle. Thanks Dave we love our new Sequoia!!!!

We found Dave's about 2 years ago on Craigslist and so glad we did. We have never been treated so well and had such a great buying experience. Our first vehicle was great and now we just got another one from him and are very happy. As long as you stay in touch with him on any issues being late he he never gives you any grief. The bad reviews on here are ridiculous, consider the source and why they are upset. If you do what you should with your payments and insurance you will never have a problem!! We would recommend him to anyone that wants a quality vehicle and fair treatment

I financed a car from Daves Main Street Motors. I was consistently 1 to 14 days late on my payments. Literally EVERY time. I would say the same about my phone bill which is quite a lot more than my car payment. Also, Ive financed from a local competitor and was treated 100% differently by the 2 in the same situation (being past due). It's obvious that if you become past due with Main Street Motors, they lose respect for you. The circumstances of being past due DO NOT MATTER. I have been treated completely unprofessional by Dave. He is a stereotypical used car salesman. I'm sure he will respond to this with "his side" or some other complete non sense but thats how he is. Unaccountable and he feels completely justified in treating me with HATE due to being past due. Good times (not really). God Bless!

I had to buy a car quick after my car was totaled in an accident. I didn't need any financing so I can't say anything about that process but I was happy with the service I received. It was perfect for the kind of car I was looking for.

I bought two vehicles from Daves.. I bought two vehicles from Daves. Having less than perfect credit, I needed a reliable vehicle. I found that buying a vehicle from Daves was quick and I was treated fairly and the people are honest in their dealings. There were a couple of times I knew I would be late with a payment, so I called them and they worked with me. I would definitely recommend Daves in Brighton. I'm a 'no frills' kind of guy, I hate wasting hours at a car dealership, but I like being treated fairly and dealt with honestly, this is definitely the place to go.

A friend of mine recommended Dave's Main Street Motors after they bought a truck there. They were extremely pleased and now so am I. I too was looking for a nice used truck and found exactly what I was looking for.

I got no hassle service and felt no pressure what so ever. I was able to take my time and make my own decision and drove away with a great truck.

This is Dave at DMSM in response to pookiej272's review. Unfortunately we get some disgruntled customers from time to time. This particular reviewer revealed enough about herself that we felt we should respond to defend ourselves because she is not being truthful.

Yes it is true the vehicle was reposssessed. It is not true they never made late payments, in the eight months they had the car only two payments were on time. The reason the vehicle was repossessed was they failed to return phone calls after the recurring payment they arranged in an attempt to keep the account current was declined by their bank. Their decision to avoid contact with us to make payment arrangements ultimately led to our decision to repossess the vehicle. We had previously worked with them to overcome financial hardship and would have again but they chose to ignore our attempts to contact them.

It is also true they didn't maintain insurance which they freely admit. Which is not only the law but a contractual obligation. We never denied them access to their property. The repossessions are contracted to a third party and the customers deal directly with their agents post repossession. The vehicle had been cleaned out by the customer prior to being returned to us and they were able to retrieve their personal belongings within one day of the vehicle being repossessed.

I have no doubt they are angry their vehicle was repossessed but it was due to their own actions. We didn't have any communication with them until after the vehicle was recovered and we contacted the repo agent to make arrangements for them to recover the property on Sat which is not a normal business day for the agent. He met them on his own time due to the wallet being in the car. We were never rude to them at any time. To leave a misleading review is dishonest and unfair.

the guy who owns this place (dave) is a total jerk and bully! at one point when i called about a late payment(I'm a single parent!), he absolutely SCREAMED at me, I've never been treated so bad!! the car was bought by myself and my ex, other than the one time, our payments were on time, (i didnt want to be yelled at again!). whats worse, my ex didint have insurance on the car for about a month, the car was repo'd, and they refused to make an appointment for him to retrieve his personal property!!!!!!!!! Including his wallet and I needed formula for my baby! Thanks Dave!! such a gentleman....

So Far So Good. Nothing to complain about. The application process was easy and I was approved despite having bad credit. My car had a check engine light on a few days after I bought it and they fixed it. Turned out to be a bad gas cap. I mention it only because I expected them to be tell me I bought the car as is. But they offered to scan it without a hassle. Laid back and easy to deal with. I never felt like the pressure was on.
