Ghetto. Tryst used to be such an upscal lounge. We went in for my friends Bday and walked into a crowd that dressed like they just came out of the ghetto. The music was gangster wrap, and the girls looked and acted gross just dancing around like strippers, flashing and just totally trashy. I will never return to this joint nor bring my friends here. We were at Red Square right before that with a very appropriate and dignified crowd who were pleasant and friendly. The music at red square was also very good and fit the mood. Just AVOID TRYST UNLESS YOU LIKE A TRASHY CROWD AND GHETTO RAP MUSI.
good drinks. Awesome drink list, place wasn't to crowded for the weekend, the place is pretty small though and the food isn't that great. Even though it says till 1000 for food on the website it's actually more like 900. It's close to a lot of other bars, so that's cool.
Hottest babes in D-town. Everything is red and they have cool visuals. The ladies are friendly and usually pretty easy on the eyes. I don't know what the name means, however, I do know that I can eat sushi there. Once you go tryst, you can't resist baby. Boo-ya
On Saturday night the place was dead until after 10PM.. This place was just "ok" and seemed like its seen better days. I doubt it gets any "A list" patrons.
Classy and Cool.
Tryst is an upscale lounge that is a good hang out if you're in that kind of mood. A lot of "pretty people" hang out there and the atmosphere is sexy. It can be a good place to have a martini and do some socializing. It can get crowded late but the happy hour is usually very comfortable. If you're going to check it out I recommend to dress up a little bit because it's usually a young hip profesional crowd that is into style. It's a good place to go right after you've gone clothes shopping and your feelin really cool. haha
The only downside to the bar is that they support traditional roles and put all men behind the bar and women on the floor. Come on guys, mix it up a little and get some female bar tenders too!
Sensual surroundings, soft lights, snug seating and sushi make this sophisticated LoDo lounge a hit with posh urbanites..
In Short
With its red walls, flickering candles, shimmery curtains and cozy banquettes, this sleek LoDo cocktail lounge attracts a designer crowd of single city dwellers. Cocktails are delicious and decadent, such as the Lush (champagne, Chambord, Grey Goose vodka and raspberries) or the Key lime pie martini (Stoli vanilla, Midori, cream, pineapple juice and fresh lime). The menu is limited to sushi and desserts, most notably the diabolically rich double chocolate fudge cake.
Love the strawberry vodka!. Went in for the first time in a few months and tried the new infused vodkas - yum! During the week its a pretty laid back crowd... on the weekend, especially late, its packed. One of my LoDo favs!
The Crowd Sucks!!!. The Staff? Awesome. The place? Way too small. The crowd? Arrogant and full-of-themselves boys who need a coupe lessons taught to them
Small!. Despite being a dressed up cracker jack box (or sardine can, your choice), the place had personable bartenders and the drinks are stiff!
Best new lounge in Denver!. Tryst Lounge brings an invigorating atmosphere to the Denver bar scene without the pretentious attitude typically found in LoDo. When I was there, I found the waitstaff to be extremely attentive, I thought the design was unique, and that the overall sophistication was beautifully understated. Tryst should definitely be a top destination for anyone who is tired of the cookie-cutter feel of the uppity LoDo bars that have mobbed the scene for entirely too long. I will definitely take local friends and out-of-town guests there every opportunity I get. Tryst is absolutely brilliant.
