Aurora >Gibby's Sports Saloon
Not what it used to be.
The first time I was there-about four years ago- I just loved it. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were great, but the last time I was there -a week ago-, I had the worst "customer service" ever. The food was good, though, and the place itself is nice.
If you don/t want to have to deal with cranky waitresses who just want to look pretty, do yourself a favor and go spend your hard-earned money somewhere else.
I said I’d give them another chance, so I did for a quick. I was pleasantly surprised to find the same bartender/server that was previously unattentive and she was great! Very accommodating and kept my coffee full. The hummus platter hit the spot and I’ll definitely be back to an MMA match soon.
I'm sure it was just a small slip up and look forward to updating this review when we try again another time.
Better places to go. As a frequent traveler, I like to find a place I can call home. This is NOT the place. I felt like, if I don't kiss ass, don't come back, we don't need your business. There are other local places that are more than happy to take my money and business. I am never going back there again and felt strongly enough to write this.
Never ate here.
Pricey for Denver standards, $4.50 a beer.
Haven't found a bar in Denver yet with beers less than $3 each. New York, Chicago & Ohio all have $1 domestic beer nights. I came into Gibby's one night & paid $3 a beer and the next night, $4.50 for the same beer. Big turn off for me in these economic times. 2-3 beers is almost a case of beer at the store.
Used To Be The Place To Hangout!. 3 years ago, Gibby's was the place to go. Theyhad good food, the Management was awesome, and the wait Staff wastruely second to none.Over the last year to year and a half, the place has consistently gone down hill! On-site Management, well let's be polite, and just say that's a bad joke! The food quality has consistently gone downhill to the point where if you order something, especially to go, you better make sure you got what you ordered, before leaving the place. The wait Staff, with the exception of the "Ole Timers" who are still there,( Which there are only a few, Sam being one of the one's who are awesome" don't seem to care about true customer service, they only seem to worry about how much of a tp they are going to get, and is it time to get off shift yet. There was a time when I recommended Gibby's to everyone I knew. I wouldn't do it now if my life depended on it!
Horrible Customer Service.
The place has gone to the dogs... worst customer service I've had from any of the B.U.F.F. Brothers restaurants. Look, if you are serving chili, bring a spoon. If you are bringing a sandwich, napkins and condiments are not just options, they are required...
If your server has to "clock out" (the only time she was interested in our table all day was when she was getting her money) and then you see her 90 minutes later taking orders and yet no one comes to your table after she "clocks out" for over 3 hours... well, it's just a failure in every way.
Never mind the classless clientele, it's just not good in anyway, except perhaps for the food, which is serviceable for a pub/bar. Of course, you'll have to bring your own silverware to enjoy it...
Not recommended at all.
Good happy hour. Like the other BUFF Bros Restaurants, the food is excellent. The service has gone downhill over the years. They have a knack for hiring beautiful servers and bartenders who don't really know what they're doing, and don't really care. If I want eye candy, I'll go to a strip club. Give me a less attractive server who gives me good service any day. The couple of male bartenders they have are far more concerned with looking cool than with making a good drink. Eye contact with customers is non-existent for these guys.
Brought Back the Happy Hour Buffet.
Great Happy Hour buffet! Sliders, wings, pasta, salads.
Buffet is from 5-7 on Friday's. Special drink prices, too. Watch volleyball during the summers - pickup volleyball.
