Would give 0 stars if it were an option

They did not obtain a permit prior to doing work. When work was inspected it was out of code in both electrical and mechanical. Not only negligent, but intentionally deceitful - we were told that they would come out and fix the work; when they came out, they took the unit and left! I can't believe that they are still in business.
- Pros: none
- Cons: not honest, intentionally decietful
Be Careful When Doing Business With Them
by RobertC
Several years ago, Rocky Mountain Air Solutions (RMAS) installed a new AC unit that cost us about $3,500. First week in August, 2009 there was water all over our basement floor underneath the AC unit. We called RMAS - the owner (Pete) asked many technical questions over the phone, such as..."Does the unit have an XYZ-12345 over/under valve connected to the blah, blah blah?" I didn't know, I'm not an AC technician. After several of these questions, "Pete" said to call back at a later time to schedule an appointment. I did that.
Joe the tech came out, looked at the unit, said he didn't have parts, but would be back the next day. Joe never gave a cost estimate.
Joe came back out with a 6 foot length of 3/4" white PVC pipe, and replaced the drain line running from the condenser to the floor drain. Work time: 15 minutes. Here's what's on my bill:
Labor: $89.00 for 15 minutes (equates to $119/hour)
Materials: $54.00 for one 6-foot PVC pipe
Trip Charge: $65.00 (Joe said they were waiving the first trip out....lucky me)
Total: $209.00
Attention Coloradans. You do business with Rocky Mountain Air Solutions at your own risk. Buyer be very, very aware! I wouldn't even recommend them to terrorists...
- Pros: None
- Cons: The final bill will stun you !!
Not So Cool, Not So Hot

I called to take advantage of their AC tune up coupon advertised with ValPak. I had purchased my AC from this company so thought it would be the best place to get my AC serviced. First, they couldn't get the computer to work to make the appointment and wanted me to call back. Then the computer worked. I had arranged for someone to be at my home because I work quite some distance away and told them that. On the day of the appointment they called and left a message that they couldn't find my address and it must have been typed into the computer wrong. When I called them after work I was treated very rudely and was told that the person "was on a job" and would have to figure it out later or I would have to call tomorrow (I work and cannot call from work during the day). It's hot and the 4th of July weekend is day after tomorrow. I do not have my AC working. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
- Cons: very poor customer service
