Believe the hype!!!.
After choosing the new Famous Dave's over this place yesterday for 50 bucks i feel like i should hit myself over the head with something.
This is the best place i have found to date to eat BBQ in Colorado. A tip to anybody reading this: Go in on on afternoon during the week or early on Sat or Sun, otherwise you will wait 30-60 min at dinnertime, i myself have done this wait, and it was worth it, i am just trying to give a pointer before somebody writes "Too long of a wait".
Service has always been good, even when they are swamped. The food is FANtastic, worthy enough of being on Man vs. Food (hint-hint) Food Network.
I have not ate anything there i didn't like. The ribs are without a doubt, some of the best i have ever had, they totally just melt in your mouth. Brisket is nice, and juicy as well as the pulled pork.
If you don't want BBQ they have steaks, and fish as well. So do yourself a favor and just go to this place and enjoy you some Hickory House. BTW--everytime my extended family visits from Chicago the first thing they say is " Let's go to the Hickory-House" Enough said.

Best Barbeque ANYWHERE.
This is by far the best barbeque I have had. Im a native Texan and i know barbeque. The Baby Back Ribs are a definite must, also the pulled pork literally melts in your mouth. The fries are crispy and the onion rings are incredible. This is a place to bring out of town friends for a memorable time.

OH MY.
Goodness. Yep thats the word. Goodness. Service, food, atmosphere you name it and it is very Good. Had a daily special of Sloppy Joes with a side order of Ribs to share and it was all tasty! Had no room for the interesting desserts so maybe next time. I have to say their fries were some of the best I have had. Slightly seasoned perfectly crisp. MMMM. They were a surprise bonus. Price was not bad. Onion rings, 2 drinks, 2 specials and a side order of 6 ribs for a couple of cents under $20.00. Not bad. Fun decor and cozy fire. Very enjoyable.

Great ribs - seriously. Great..
I've eaten at Hickory House several times.
The ribs are excellent. The pulled pork - excellent. Onion rings - good.
Service - excellent.
Bathrooms - clean (if that's important to you). I think it says something about the management and the staff.

Pretty Decent - Not Bad.
I had the ribs. My wife had a steak. We also shared a basket of onion rings and had the ice cream cookie for dessert. While the food is good and service was friendly, the ribs were not the best I've eaten. Prices are in line with the "casual-upscale" type of restaurants. That means they're a little on the high side. Total bill for two adult entres, one kid's entre, an appetizer, dessert and 3 cokes: $49.00 + tip.
