In Short – Dark-paneled walls accented by hunting-dog oil paintings surround white-linened tables. Leather booths offer limited privacy, while curtained French doors hide four private rooms. A digital ticker broadcasts up-to-the-minute world news to buzzing bar patrons who include local sports celebrities and power brokers. The specialty here is dry-aged steaks and their sauces--from simple au jus to a Courvoisier cognac cream and peppercorn sauce. Try rich au gratin potatoes or creamed spinich on the side.
great service

I've always had really good food and service here. They've got a cool bar and a great wine menu. I'm a big fan of Larimer Square in general, so I'm glad they're located there. This is a good place for dinner and then you can bar hop afterward.
- Pros: good food & service
Great for a special occasion or nice cocktail
by sweetandspicy at Citysearch
Ive been to the Capital Grille for special occasions, business lunches or for a nice cocktail on a week/weekend night. The ambiance is classy but not stuffy and Ive always been treated very well there. My steak of choice would be the Delmonico, a 22oz marinated ribeye with plenty to take home. The lobster bisque is delicious and I cant say enough about the lobster macaroni and cheese or the coconut cream pie.
They are also known for their stoli doli martinis, pineapple thats been soaked in vodka then shaken with ice and poured into a chilled martini glass.
Check it out!
- Pros: Great service and atmosphere
- Cons: Extensive wine list
Inconsistent - that's good if you are a gambler

I have had rude treatment here and FABULOUS treatment here. It depends on how much you want to spend (in this economy) for the gamble. Maybe the economy wil have them working at being considerate to ALL patrons on a regular basis. WHAT A CONCEPT !
- Pros: Hot spot in Denver
- Cons: Service and treatment of customers - inconsistent
