The best and only soufle in Denver. Amazing-

My husband and I were introduced to Sansone's by friends, and we have been going back ever since. We love the veal parmigiana and I tried a fish the other night that was excellent. We lived in Dallas, Texas and we love soufle. We have been to many restaurants in Denver and no-one makes the grand marnier soufle like Sansone's It's so good I won't share mine. We will be there next week for my husband's birthday and look forward to the coziness and great service. We feel very special when the owner comes out to say hello to see if we are enjoying our meal.

Excellent~. My family and I recently visited Sansone's for my birthday. I was nervous about bring children to a restaurant of this caliber. However, rest assured the owners not only made me feel like family but they took great care of my children and made sure they felt just as important to be there. First let us discuss the food. I consider myself to be a foodie and enjoy a truly fine meal. Let me tell you, I found one at Sansone's Bistro. We started with the Carpacio and Escargot. Both were excellent, tender, delicate and full of flavor. I had the Sansone's pasta and my husband had the special beef tenderloin. The shrimp in my pasta dish were cooked to perfection and the pasta was exaclty al dente. My pasta dish was so good that I had to fight to keep it on my plate as my children were clamoring to eat all my shrimp. My husband's beef was cooked to a perfect medium, the sauce was an excellent touch to a fine piece of beef. He also had roasted brussel sprouts and when I asked for a taste of the brussel sprouts, it was too late. I believe the word "great" was used to describe the brussel sprouts. Now how many of you have ever used the words "great" and "brussel sprout" in the same sentance. Well you will now once you have them at Sansone's Bistro. Now, let's talk about service. Excellent. Our waitress took great pains to describe the specials. The bussers paid incredible attention to our table, making sure empty plates were cleared immediately and glasses were always full with fresh water, iced tea, etc.

I've read all the reviews regarding Sansones, and this is a free country and people are entitled to their opinions, but let me say this...Sansone's is worth every penny. If you are not happy they will do everything in their power to make you happy. They made my birthday very special and what was even better they made my children feel special too. This is a perfect restaurant for date night, friends getting together or just to have a nice meal. You cannot go wrong.

WOW -- awful. I ate there and it just sucked. I paid $50 for nothing -- well, I paid $50 for dry chicken, cheap wine, bad salad, and a moldy atmosphere. Wine is cheap, which is nice, but not much of a selection. My guest had paella -- don't even get me started. Isn't paella supposed to have some flavor to it? My poor guest had cheap shrimp, dry mussels and a bag of steamed rice on a plate? No sauce, no nothing. yuck! Don't go -- just saying!

Well -- that was awful. Well -- AWFUL!!! I was first placed at a table on a slant so I was eating on a slope that evening. The restaurant atmosphere is cute but smells like cigarettes. I paid $27 for a paella dish that was HORRENDOUS. Flavorless shrimp, chewy mussels on a bed of rice straight out of a minute rice box. Bread was flaky. Service was awful. My waitress didn't even come by and check on us (I think she knew the product was awful). Basically -- not going back. Don't try it. Waste of $$$

Excellent Service - Love the Staff!!!. We have one of our first meals after having our first child. Our baby was only about 3 months old and so it was obviously difficult to manage eating and watching our baby. The owner noticed that we were having a difficult time and so she offered to hold our baby for a few minutes while my wife finished her meal. We will NEVER forget the AWESOME gesture that that was.

The food was really good and the portions were great.

Food should be more than good, it should be memorable... Job well done. My wife and I went on Valentine's Day to celebrate our 17th Anniversary as well as the Valentine's Day holiday. Sevice was excellent as was the small touches like helping arrange a florist for flowers for my wife and the Happy Anniversary wishes from the entire staff. The food was excellent, even if it was a special menu for the holiday. Both appetizers were excellent, although I preferred the flavor of the Kangaroo to the Ostrich. The salad was OK, dressing would have been too strong if not for the wonderful intermezzio provided afterwards to cleanse the palatte. The Phesant was nicely done, and the Colorado Lamb Chops were magnificant. We both went with the lighter cheese blintz's for dessert which were a near perfect ending to a great meal. The special and regular wine selection was nice. Good wines but not overly pretentious. And it goes a long way with me that the Chef came out to ensure the guests were enjoying their meals. My wife and I plan to come here more often.

Well done.

Treated Like Royalty. I enjoy finding little-known restaurants for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. I am so glad I found the Sansone's Bistro page on CitySearch. The restaurant is small so thank you to those who recommended making reservations. Everyone in the restaurant was so friendly and took very good care of us. We could tell that there were a lot of repeat customers since the employees were calling them by name. I had a hard time choosing something from the menu since everything sounded so good. Robert Sansone, the owner/chef, came out in the dining area 3 times to thank us for choosing his restaurant and to make sure we were being taken care of to our satisfaction. Our souffle had "Happy Anniversary" on it and it was comp'ed.

There was nothing I could have said to improve on this visit. I have paid more money for less quality of food and service at other restaurants. I highly recommend you try Sansone's Bistro anytime and don't wait for special occasion.

Not Recommended. This restaurant is owned by a married couple who are often caught bickering loudly to each other as well as directly to their employees in front of guests. While the food may taste decent, the sous chefs repeatedly smoke cigarettes and return to the kitchen without washing their hands as witnessed by a patron who parked the car in the back lot while observing this unsanitary action. It seems a "gemini" of restaurants, seemingly customer service-based as a priority, but quite the opposite if there on the wrong day. I'd take my palate elsewhere.

We would like to thank you for your candid observations when visiting our bistro. I would like to assure you first and most importantly that we take every care to insure the wholesomeness of all the products we serve. What the "patron" saw could have been incorrect. We have 1 handwashing station in the kitchen hidden behind the refrigerator when looking into the restaurant from the outside, along with several sanitizing stations on the line itself. In response to your review we did remind ALL of our staff the importance of sanitation repeatedly throughout service, but we can assure you they are all trained professionals with pride in the product they serve to our guests. As far as our little husband and wife team, you did mention the food was good and that comes from a very passionate and talented chef that puts quality in all his dishes. Sometimes that passion spills into the restaurant when you are balancing outstanding culinary flavors with the service needs of diners. Thank You!
