Lakewood >Johnny's New York Pizza
I go to Johnny's all the time. It is great! Call in your order, though, sometimes it can take a while. The staff is pleasant enough, and the food is excellent. It's the only place in the area I can find a decent lunch, and the daily lunch special with two slices and a fountain drink is less than $7.00. It seems like any time of the day I come in the cashiers are sitting down, eating pizza, but they always get right up and process my order. Also, whenever I call in an order, it's ready when they say it will be. I can't believe some of the reviews on here, it sounds like a different restaurant.
It would have been great if i got my food....
The food is great IF I actually got my full order...
instead....when i called - the response was - you can come get it. asked them to deliver it - and the retort was it'll be 45 minutes. so i'm going to eat my baked ziti w/o knots and
hope that you guys can make it to me in 45 minutes - AFTER telling the staff that i lived 5 minutes away.
When i went to the store to speak to the manager - brandon - i was
kept waiting - and he was unempathetic, did not descalate the
situation, he made it worse by telling me, oh we could have had them
to you in 10 minutes and shoved the missing product in my hand, said
that he was going to comp my entire order but since i was yelling,
that he's not, and to have a good life.
Now my food is COLD, i'm eating soggy pizza, half my food was missing...what a disappointment.
Johnny's Pizza. This place has absolutely the WORST customer service. I ordered a delivery to my address which is 3 blocks away from Johnny's in Lakewood, CO, and the driver took 30 minutes after he called me to try and find my location. I live in the largest apartment complex in Belmar and stood in the street to no avail. He got lost and went back to the restaurant as he got frustrated. I then had to call the general manager and he was even worse than the driver. He was extraordinarily rude to me, and I was visibly upset as it was now over an hour and a half later and still NO PIZZA. He than said I was rude and hung up on me. I called back and asked for John (the owner) and he refused to pass the info on. The pizza is average at best, but the customer service is even worse. The worst place to get pizza in the greater Denver area.
Couldn't agree with the last 2 reviews more!. The last 2 reviews are spot on! I went to Johnnys on Mississippi last week and I know exactly who the reviewer was talking about. I stood at the counter for a few minutes waiting for service while the waitress was very busy and a very dirty and miserable looking person who I'm guessing was the manger mspencer was talking about made salads and didn't even glance my way to greet me. I've never seen anyone who looked so miserable but I guess that's understandable because if I was his age and still working in a pizzaria I'd probably hang myself. Next time I was craving pizza I decided to check out the location at 26th and Kipling. WHAT A DUMP! I ordered 2 slices to go and waited while the morons that were "working" texted on there phones. After 5 minutes I had my sub par slices and will never go back. Get rid of the manager at the store on Mississipi Johnny and we'll start coming back!
Not so good in WheatRidge. Checked out the Johnnys location at 26th and Kipling, and was really hoping for a good slice of pie. Was greeted by 4 very loud teens who were too busy playing grabass to take an order, and when the young man with sweat shorts with his butt hanging out came over, he was clueless. Said the pizza would take 15 minutes and 45 minutes later a half cooked pie came to our table. My 9 year old enjoyed his two separate slices of pizza, but my pizza was not so great. Price was to expensive, 27 bucks for a medium pizza, 2 slices of pizza, and 3 cans of soda, and atrocious service. I dont think I will go back and I would advise you to make your own judgment on this establishment and just go in hoping for the worse and these guys will meet your expectations.
BRING JOHNNY BACK!. Johnny's used to be one of my favorite places in Lakewood. Things have changed so much since Johnny hasn't been around. They have a new manager and I think his name is Phil and he absolutely ruins the whole experience. He has a terrible attitude, is extremely rude to the customers and employees and always looks filthy and disgusting. I'm not sure if he only has one shirt but it looks like it's never been washed. It's a real shame that things had to happen this way. Come back Johnny or at least get a new manager who actually enjoys their job and makes us feel welcome instead of like we are an inconvenience to him.
Loving it!. Johnnys pizza is great! We eat there a lot! My job even orders it when we have to work on weekends! In the words of my 4 year old its the bomb!
Thanks for a great lunch!!. I enjoying going to Johnny's for lunch when I get the chance. The slices are huge and NEVER leave hungry! The service is always spot on and talking with the staff is a real treat.
A real slice of New York. Fugettaboutit - Johnny's serves up a real slice of the New York pie. I've been frequenting this place since it opened four years ago and still love it. It's the closest New York-style pizza I've found in the Mile High City
Made a return CUSTOMER!. We had dinner here a few nights ago. The pizza was great. The pie had a good balance of sauce and just the right amout of cheese. Oh, how could I forget. The knots were out of this world. John, thanks for the food. We will return!
