Editorial Review for Site of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre – by

In Short
This address on Chicago's North Side was home to the S-M-C Cartage Company where the infamous gangland massacre occurred on February 14, 1929. On this morning, six members of Moran's gang, and one associate, were lined up along the wall of the garage and shot by five members of Capone's gang, two of whom were dressed as police officers. The building was demolished in 1967; today the location is a landscaped parking lot for a nursing home.
