Popular "cutting boards" holding a variety of Italian meats and cheeses share menu space with pizzas and handmade pastas. Entrees include grilled chicken lasagna with vegetables and marinated hanger steak. For dessert,there's tiramisu and Italian cheesecake.

I went to Via on a Saturday night at 7pm for the kick off of a bachelorette party. It was nice we had our own private room but that's about the only positive unfortunately. I had heard from friends that Via was expensive, small portions and not great good, but that had been a year ago and was hoping maybe they had got their act together. Unfortunately they haven't. Mediocre service, one dish was delivered to the wrong table so she had to wait an addiitonal 10 minutes while the rest of the table ate and although it was in the 90's outside, they hadn't really cranked the AC making it "stick to the chair" hot and uncomfortable. The restaurant ran out of Peroni half way thru the meal and many of the guests at the table found their food not to be very tasty. Since it was a bachelorette party (and possibly to make up for the lousy food and service) they offered us free dessert. Sadly, dessert was not worth the calories or the free price tag.. their tirimisu had lousy texture and wayyyy too much cocoa powder. The restaurant was only about a quarter to a third full at 7 pm on Saturday night - probably not a good sign. I'd be surprised to see Via las much longer. Not recommended!

As a neighborhood restaurant I have generally enjoyed Via. The food is consistent and though I travel, I always enjoyed going to Via on my Days home in Denver. It's walking distance from home and I love the staff. That is until I went back recently and didn't recognize a soul aside of the trusty pizza guy that I recognized. Where are my blond and brunette bartender girls?? My experience was met by some know it all bartender that really couldn't pour more than a glass of wine which she didn't seem to know much about. My Lobster ravioli doesn't have the same gusto and the restaurant feels like a different place altogether. What happened??? The lady managing didn't seem to be very caring towards the customers as she was cursing them in the staff area in plain earshot of other staff and guests. I really used to enjoy Via, The food and most of all the feeling I'd get when I walked through the doors that made it seem like I was home for a while. The staff was always welcoming and it was kinda like going to Cheers. Where did everyone go? I may be back out of hunger one day, but I am now on a quest for my next "home" bar.

I recently went to this location for dinner for the first time in late December after realizing it was affiliated with another Denver favorite Cucina Colore. My wife and I shared the 'cutting board', spinach salad, and lobster ravioli, and we loved every bit of it. Our server was attentive and helpfull, and had a great personality. The portions were large, and the food was really very good... it was very busy the night we visisted the first time, so it was a bit loud- but overall, this was a unique and enjoyable experience. We will certainly be back and we will bring friends.
