Worst service ever. We just went to Sabor and our waiter was too busy drinking at the bar and not coming to take our drink orders. I asked her when they close and she said "whenever". We had to go the bar to order our second round because she could not be bothered by our presence. Then when we tried to close our tab there was an argument about the amount of tip we were leaving. The bartender had the gall to tell us they closed "45 minutes ago". We had to wait 1 hour for nachos that never ended up coming. If you want terrible service and mediocre food then come to this lame place. I suggest to El Sabor that they pick some hours to actually provide service rather than have shafty service till "whenever."…
New Owners or Absent Owners?.
Although, this had been a long time favorite since they started when I entered with a well mannered child for dinner we were pretty much put on the back burner. The appetizers took about 35 minutes,
but were decent, the fajitas took even longer, and by the time that arrived it was cold, tough, and bland....oh, by the way where's the chicken? I counted 4 pieces of tiny hard chicken with a plate full of onions and peppers. It appeared to be last night's leftovers. We waited another 20 minutes just for the check. So much for the well mannered child.
Very disappointing and we left hungry and angry.…
Old Favorite. Sabor Latino is an old favorite of mine. I would not plan on a quick dinner but as long as you have that expectation in mind you will have a nice relaxing dinner. Try their limeade thing it is great.…
Terrible food in a decent atmosphere. This place was plain bad. We ordered chips and salsa...the portion of salsa was so small, that we were out of salsa halfway through the chips and there was no more coming. The salsa was totally flavorless anyway. Then we ordered two meals, the combination plate (burrito, chile rellano, enchilada) ordered with chicken. There was no chicken and it was a plate of cheese, beans, and tortilla. When we asked if the green chile was hot, we were told no, and asked if we wanted a side of jalapenos...we said yes and were promptly charged $1 for them. I ordered the Caribbean plate, it is what i make with leftovers when I want a 5 minute meal. It was beans, rice, and maybe 2 oz of meat, with boring plantains. My meal was so flavorless I debated leaving. There is so much good Mexican/S. American in Denver, this is not the spot.…
Looks Great... BUT ISN'T.. I have eaten at Sabor latino in the past and thought it at least good enough to return.. that ship has sailed. It took a half hour to get drinks, another fifteen minutes more to get a single appetizer.. The waitstaff wandered around or watched TV in the next room. When we finished out appetizer the waitress finally arrived to take our order. I ordered a cuban steak dish... that arrived with nothing but rice and plantains.. By the time I could flag down a waiter.. let alone our own, everyone was finished. Not that the plates were cleaned, but we had just had enough. Burned chicken, missing steak, bland beans, fish was dried out.. things were flavorless in general... if anyone had come near us we would have told someone... Instead I had to go to the bar where I had to compete with the TV for attention. The next time they did come around was with the check... not that we had a birthday and wanted a dessert or anything... On top of that they added gratuity without saying or noting it on the menu. I was so P.O.'D I had a hard time containing myself as we left. Maybe it is a good thing no one asked how things were, I might have gotten myself into trouble. I have lived in South America and abroad and now North Denver. I know what "sabor" is .... and now what it isn't.…
