Really fun night ouh. Went here with some friends I was visiting, and we had a great time. I love the idea of the lounge, bar, bowling alley hybrid. The drinks were really good, at a totally reasonable price. I'd definitely recommend checking it out!
Great place. This place was sweet. The bar was amazing and giant. Which is awesome compared to other bars at bowling alleys. When I was at the bar, I didn't even feel like I was at a bowling alley. Bowling was fun too. Great atmosphere and all types of people. Will be coming back!
Best way to Bowl!.
I never thought I would have this much fun bowling! The atmosphere is awesome- I hardly realized I was in a bowling alley when I first walked in.
The bar is awesome (especially if you're not the best bowler)
A serious good time.
Great Bar and Bartenders. I walked into Lucky Strike Lanes a few nights ago and could help but be a little surprised. The decor was awesome and the atmosphere was upbeat and lively. I was a little unimpressed with the music playing but everything else was incredible. The sports book feel of the bar was too cool! All the sports you could ask for! The bartenders were entertaining to watch and listen to as they worked. The threw things to each other and cracked jokes the entire time. The drinks were stiff, which is good considering what we were paying for them. We checked in to bowl and were told it would be a few minutes before we could, so we paid for the games and put our bowling shoes on. The bowling was kind of expensive, but it was upscale. We went to the lanes and waited forever for a waitress to come by and take our order, didn't happen. So we went back down to the bar, where the service was much faster and all around more entertaining! A waitress informed us she was assigned to our lane if we wanted to order more drinks. We decided to stick with the bartenders, not surprisingly she never stopped by our lane the entire time we were there. Aside from the uninterested waitress the drinks and bowling were great...We loved the vibe and will be back for sure!
Ultra-mod lounge in Belmar caters to upper-crust bowlers who like to bowl, rock and booze all at the same time..
In Short
Having found success in places like Los Angeles and South Beach, Lucky Strike has rolled its way into Denver. This cooler-than-average alley sports 16 lanes, with a 100-foot by 10-foot video wall that stretches over the pins and shows music videos and fine art. So bowl your heart out, or just relax in the custom lounge furniture. And don't worry--the bar still serves hamburgers, but you can also get Key West chicken dusted with herbs.
Great place - Prissy, vapid servers.
I have been going to Lucky Strike to play pool fairly regularly since it opened. Enough that I suspect they would know immediately who wrote this if they read it. Overall, it's a great place, very clean, not too loud, good atmosphere, affordable pool, and a few good dishes on the menu. Particularly when compared to pool halls, which are usually stinky and filled with skeezy boys staring at chest as you try to play, lucky strike is glorious.
That said, nearly every single time we have gone, it takes a completely rediculous amount of time for someone to even come over and bring our drinks. This is a tragedy for pool and bowling, as everyone knows skill increases rapidly with booze consumption. Or perhaps it is a perception of skill! Either way, servers would walk past us, look at us, and simply ignore us for an average of about 30 minutes each visit. Each time, literally each freaking time, we would finally go to the check-in area and ask for some help. When the server finally prances (yes, they prance, like it's a damn runway show) over, they are generally snippy for a while because you complained about them. I hate complaining, so even having to go through that is upsetting to me.
I still go because I love the pool and wine, and a few of the male servers are great and have apologized and acknowledged "all the girl servers are horrid, they don't care, and are lazy." But it's to the point where I wonder if they just hate us or something, I can't imagine treating a regular, decent tipping, polite, non-bitchy customer that hates to complain like that.
Hurry up and bowl before they turn you off!!!!.
We were there a last Friday and were in the middle of our game. And they
turned us off because we had ran out of time. Most bowling facilities charge you
extra for going over. This one turns you off completely and won't turn you back
on. Going to a bowling ally and being rushed doesn't sound like a fun Friday night
out on the town to me. Jillians and Brunswick lanes are far better for your bowling
pleasure
