Editorial Review for The Robusto Room – by Dave Flomberg
In Short
For being tucked away in a south suburban walking mall, this lounge is surprisingly metropolitan. The sparse decor features Asian-style wall paneling and high leather-bound stools lining the bar. Scotches, cognacs, ports and wines abound, with several wines available by the bottle or glass. Food options are minimal--there's only a few appetizers and deserts on the menu. However, cigar aficionados will love the attached Stogies & Bogeys, which proffers more than 600 handmade cigars.

Insider Tips
Know Before You GoThe bar can be difficult to find from the street, so park in the United Artists Meadows theaters lot, then walk around the back of the Rio Grande restaurant.
Happy HourDrink specials last from 4pm to 7pm nightly and include two-for-one on all well wine and drafts.
When to GoCheck out Denver master trumpeter Hugh Ragin on Thursday nights. There is live jazz every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

Let me by saying that I LOVE THIS PLACE! The bar is gorgeous, with a great vibe unlike any other place I've been (including downtown). The live music is always unique and impressive and the DJs are some of the best I've ever heard (and I'm from LA). The cigar room is fun with a relaxed atmosphere while the bar is more high energy. For a younger crowd go on Wednesday for their ladies night and for a more mixed crowd go on saturday. The place isn't smokey at all and I'm there quite a bit (although I recall it was smokey a few months ago before they did some air revamping). THIS PLACE ROCKS!
Pros: Ambience, crowd, music
Cons: Not really much food here

Wanted to try this place with a friend for a glass of wine but couldn't get passed all the smokey smell of the place. Walked thru the front door - turned around and back out again...can't comment on anything other then that...there are so many other wine bars that are smoke free that there no need to suffer the bad air in this one. I'm actually disappointed - really wanted to check it out! Probably a great place for the crowd that is okay with the smell of smoke.
