Had an absolute blast!!!. We went for a bachelorette party to a burlesque show and had an amazing time! I don't know what the other reviewers saw, but our show had amazing act one after another (from dancers to jugglers to magicians), and we loved the fact that all the girls were different shapes and sizes. From the toned and thin elegant classic dancer to the girl who shakes what her Mama gave her!

Such a riot and there were 4 other bachelorette parties there having the time of their life too! So much more fun than just hitting a bar or strip club!

Very Disappointed!!. Me and a couple girlfriends went to the Clocktower Cocktails Male Revue and were very disappointed. There were only 4 male performers that performed for the 2 hour show which we expected a little bit larger variety. They advertise on Lannie's Clocktower Website that they are all experienced Vegas performers. Which two of the four were not. Thier dancing was off and not very appealing, and they didn't know the performance very well. They also advertise that they are all buff, cut, chiseled, and handsome. Which again only 2 out of the four were. All performers did not interact with audience members at all no matter how much money you were waving at them unless you were front row Birthday/Bachelorette of the night. Also as soon as bare backs were shown of the Men, lights were shut off, or Men ran off stage right after, which again was not very appealing. If your looking for some very G-rated entertainment and don't like touching men this is the show for you! If your looking for more interactive entertainment, touching and more close-up visuals of men you would probably like to go elsewhere.

The Place to Be!!. Lannie's is a great place to go for a fun night out. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. I have been there a few times and I have NEVER been disappointed. Pierre and Fanny are Hilarious and really make the show. Not to mention the girls with tantalizing tassel-twirling talent.

A Denver Must!

Big disappoinment. After striking out at BJ's Carousel with the drag show, we headed downtown for the cabaret. Struck out again. Seems BJ's has the market cornered on geriatric drag queens and Lannie's has all the fat completely unskilled cabaret performers. It's not even a high school performance level of entertainment. Did I mention they're all fat?! Well, we did miss the opening act which might have been worth seeing but the rest of the evening was a complete bust - and yes, the pun's intended because there wasn't a one in the house. The service was so slow we didn't get our check so we could leave until after every other bar in LoDo had been closed for 20 minutes. The female MC (Fannny something or another) had more tail than Fisherman's Wharf and the male MC (some name play on Charlie Chaplin) should have taken a que from his namesake and remained silent for all the entertainment he provided. To summarize, poor perfomances by 40lb minimum overweight talent show dropouts, lousy MC'ing, and extremely slow service. Don't waste your time....

Some bump and grind, and I like it that way. Please ignore the angry feminist in the corner, she knows not what she says. Cabaret is in the name kids, and that's exactly what it is. I too consider myself a feminist, and I love burlesque (which more than anything else these days is about enjoying being a woman, and showing off that fact). The girls here can't be beat in the Denver scene. Add to them the fantastic live music and you've got a great place for a date with a girl who's got a sense of humor (and taste). Or with a guy that can handle some very funny drag queens.

An embarassment to 21st century feminism. From a venue with enormous potential for local and national talent, Lannie's has unfortunately become something of an upscale strip club - or at least its staple has become sleaze masquerading as "vintage" performances, aka burlesque: a pathetic excuse to exploit for a buck. As far as a place to go for a first date, if you don't mind indirectly supporting the above standard, the headlining acts (including Lannie herself) are delightful. ...Otherwise, it's a perfect place to go with a fcp (female chauvanist pig)!

Elegant speakeasy offers burlesque dancers, magicians, contortionists, theater shows and live jazz, blues, country and R&B concerts.. In Short
Although Clocktower's in the name, this classy speakeasy is in the basement. Decorated in an upscale-metropolitan flair, the club is a throwback to the vaudeville era with performances of all kinds. Burlesque acts, drag shows, circus acts, films, big bands and jazz combos light up the stage several nights a week while Lannie herself plays the room throughout the month. From her Gypsy Swing Revue to her beloved Patsy DeCline show, Lannie is always in her element.
